Forget it. As long as she could balance work and family, it was fine.
Shortly after Tallulah left, Willow and Camille came out for breakfast.
As usual, Willow nitpicked the food Tallulah had prepared. Seeing that she had already left for work, Willow pulled out her phone and sent Tallulah several long voice notes, criticizing every flaw in the meal.
Yulen saw how harsh his mother was being but didn't think much of it.
Tallulah was still too pampered. She needed his mother's strict discipline to shape up.

That evening, Winona attended a business dinner and ran into Bryce Bell and Tallulah.
She greeted Bryce casually and then started chatting with the others, completely treating Tallulah like empty air.
Tallulah seethed with resentment.
She might just be an assistant right now, but that didn't mean she would be one forever.
Halfway through the dinner, Winona stepped out to take a work call.
When she hung up, she saw Tallulah standing a short distance away, clearly waiting for her.
Winona had no desire to engage, but Tallulah intentionally stepped into her path to show off. "Yulen treats me incredibly well now, and my mother-in-law loves me too. Winona, did you really think you defeated me? No. Even if I hit a rough patch, I can still bounce back and live a happier life than you."
Winona's eyes dropped to the burns on Tallulah's hands.
They looked like fresh cooking burns.
She grabbed Tallulah's hand and felt the calluses forming on her palms.
She let out a dry laugh. "It looks like the Locke family successfully brainwashed you. You're willingly serving them like a maid. Tallulah, you used to be somewhat smart. You knew how to fight for your own interests. How did you end up like this?"
Her words sliced through Tallulah's pride sharper than any insult could.
