The Wife He Forgot to Marry (Winona and Yule) novel Chapter 711

Saturday. Wynne accompanied Winona to her prenatal check-up. Afterward, they hit the nearby mall for lunch and some shopping.

Wynne picked out two dresses and a pair of shoes for her daughter.

When they went to pay, the sales associate smiled. "Ms. Walden, Mr. Scully knew you'd be shopping here today. He left instructions that whatever you buy is on him."

Wynne let out a cold laugh. "He loves playing the big spender with pocket change, yet he drags his feet when it comes to returning Zachariah's shares to Winona."

Seeing her mother's mood sour over Sylvan, Winona asked, "Should we just skip buying anything?"

Wynne grabbed her hand. "Absolutely not. We're buying it all. His money is rightfully yours anyway. Don't you dare save him a dime."

True to her word, Wynne proceeded to pick out three more pairs of shoes.

"I won't even have time to wear all of these," Winona laughed.

"Riverton has a long rainy season," Wynne pointed out. "If a pair gets wet, you'll need backups. But you need to be extra careful in the rain—try to stay indoors if you can."

"I know, I know."

After shopping, Wynne dropped Winona off at home. Since Stefan was still out of town on a business trip, Winona asked her mother to stay the night.

There were four guest rooms in the apartment, all kept spotless by Lexie, so Wynne could easily make herself comfortable.

Noticing the pets lounging in the living room, Wynne smiled. "You're an animal lover?"

Winona affectionately rubbed Biscuit's head. "Yeah, I love them. I just never had the chance to have pets before."

A familiar pang of melancholy struck Wynne. If Winona had grown up with her, she would have let her fill the house with as many animals as she wanted.
