Desperate, Tallulah grabbed Yulen's sleeve, praying he would step in and defend her.
Yulen stared at her for a long, agonizing moment before asking, "Did you do it?"
Seeing that Yulen was immediately taking Winona's side over hers, Tallulah bit her lip in humiliated fury.
Winona turned to the director. "Whether you call the police or settle this privately is up to you. But a word of advice—Tallulah is deeply unhinged. I'd strongly suggest you ban her from ever coming near these children again."
The director's expression was grim. "I will absolutely be doing that."
Without a word, Winona closed the distance between her and Tallulah, raised her hand, and slapped her hard across the face.
As Tallulah reeled back, opening her mouth to scream, Winona slapped her a second time, the sharp *crack* echoing across the courtyard.
"Winona, what the hell are you doing?!" Tallulah shrieked, clutching her burning cheek.
Winona looked at her with pure ice in her veins. "Teaching you a lesson. If you have a problem with me, come at me. But going after innocent orphans? Aren't you terrified of karma? Did you forget you're a mother yourself?"
At the mention of Stanley, Tallulah's eyes went wild with absolute insanity. "Are you cursing my baby?!"
"If you keep acting like a monster, your child is going to pay the price for your sins," Winona said coldly.
"You bitch!" Tallulah lunged forward, hands raised to claw at Winona's face, but Yulen grabbed her by the waist, violently yanking her back.
Tallulah thrashed against him, screaming, "She's cursing our child! Yulen, she's a vicious psycho!"
Yulen's patience had completely evaporated. "Shut up! Haven't you embarrassed us enough? If you didn't do something so incredibly stupid, she wouldn't have had a reason to hit you!"
Tallulah burst into hysterical, defeated tears.
Winona had put on weight. She wasn't perfectly thin anymore. Why was Yulen still protecting her?!
After saying a polite goodbye to the director, Winona walked out the front gates of the orphanage.
Just as she stepped onto the sidewalk, her phone buzzed. It was Stefan.
"I'm passing by the orphanage. I can pick you up."
