The Wife He Forgot to Marry (Winona and Yule) novel Chapter 773

Watching Stefan and Greta laugh and high-five, Yulen felt a heavy knot form in his chest. Winona must spend all her free time with them. How did they get so close? He hated to admit it, but he was consumed by jealousy.

By the end of the day, Stefan and Greta easily took home first place. They stood on the podium, beaming as they accepted their prizes. The host handed Stefan the microphone, noting how flawlessly they had worked together. "Do you spend a lot of time with her?"

"I'm currently preparing to be a father," Stefan replied smoothly, his voice filled with genuine warmth. "So whenever I have the chance, I love spending time with Greta. I'm just grateful she gave me the opportunity to practice."

Yulen scoffed loudly from the crowd. What a hypocrite. Stefan knew perfectly well Winona couldn't have children. If he wanted a family that badly, there was no way he was going to marry her.

Since the kids had the afternoon off, Stefan took Greta out for lunch. They ended up at a popular burger joint, where they coincidentally bumped into Yulen and Seth. Stefan had just finished ordering and was carrying a tray piled high with burgers, fries, and chicken nuggets.

Yulen couldn't help himself. He stepped into Stefan's path. "Since you clearly love kids so much, aren't you going to be disappointed when Winona can't give you any?"

Stefan's expression instantly turned icy. "That is strictly between us. It's none of your concern."

"She probably thinks you're different," Yulen pressed, desperation leaking into his voice. "But we're exactly the same. Neither of us would sacrifice the chance to be a father just for love."

Stefan let out a dark, mocking laugh. "Don't flatter yourself, Yulen. We are nothing alike. To me, no child in the world could ever be more important than Winona."
