When Violet heard that her daughter-in-law had gone all the way to Riverton just to pick a fight with Winona, resulting in a sprained ankle, she was so furious she lost her appetite.

After pacing for a moment, she turned to Linda. "Isn't Gabriel currently looking for a new personal assistant?"

Linda nodded. "Yes, ma'am. They hired one recently, but she was caught stealing antiques from the house and was fired."

Violet's eyes narrowed shrewdly. "Keep an eye on the hiring process. Find someone young, exceptionally pretty, and with a bit of a fiery temper."
