The Wife He Forgot to Marry (Winona and Yule) novel Chapter 869

After a grueling morning at the lab, a wave of dizziness hit Winona. Prone to low blood sugar, she usually kept candy in her bag, but she realized she had run out. Massaging her temples, she waited for the spinning room to settle.

Just then, Shiloh knocked and walked into her office. Seeing her pale face, he asked with immediate concern, "Winona, are you okay?"

"I'm fine," she murmured tiredly. "Just low blood sugar. It'll pass."

Shiloh set down a file and quietly left the room. A few minutes later, he returned, placing a packet of candy and a glass of juice on her desk.

Winona thanked him, unwrapped a piece, and popped it into her mouth.

Watching her color return, Shiloh suggested, "If you're not feeling well, we should cancel the 2 PM meeting. You can use the lunch hour to take a nap."

The dizziness was already fading. "No need. We'll proceed as scheduled."

Having seen her relentless dedication firsthand, Shiloh didn't push it. "It's almost noon. Want to grab lunch together? I have some project details I'd love to go over with you."

"No thanks," Winona declined smoothly. "Someone is bringing me lunch."

"Alright," Shiloh said. "Take a look at this file, and we can discuss the specifics this afternoon."

He turned and left the office.

At exactly 12:10, Wynne Walden arrived. Now that Audrey had a professional tutor she adored, Wynne had a lot more free time on her hands and loved dropping off homemade lunches for her daughter.
