Natalie didn't want all her attention fixated on Hassan, so she deliberately looked away.

She spotted Jacob Holt standing with the rest of the Holt family near Stewart Walsh.

Stewart's hair was entirely silver, clinging to his deeply wrinkled forehead. His spine was slightly hunched, his frail frame barely able to fill out the loose cotton tunic he wore.

He looked as though his health was rapidly failing.

It made sense why Stewart had so easily let it go when Hassan beat up Warren Walsh recently. Once the old man passed away, the internal power struggles within the Walsh family were bound to be vicious. Offending the Carlsons at a time like this would be disastrous, which was exactly why he had agreed to a truce so quickly.

Stewart Walsh was a master of classical literature. He had been invited to give poetry lectures at Kingswood University multiple times, and the auditorium was always packed to the brim.

Right now, he was playing 'the Poet's Game' with the younger generation.

The higher you went in elite circles, the more emphasis was placed on cultivating a refined, literary foundation. Almost all of them had graduated from Ivy League-tier universities and could quote classical verses flawlessly.

Natalie was the only one who didn't join in.

The aristocratic circle secretly looked down on 'airheads' like Natalie. Out of respect for the Carlson family, they wouldn't dare show it to her face, but behind her back, the gossip was undoubtedly venomous.

The students Stewart had sponsored were also participating.

When it was Gardenia's turn, she suddenly froze, blanking on the verse.

Stewart chuckled warmly. "You're a science major, so I'll allow you to pull someone in for help."

The next second, Natalie heard Gardenia's voice. "Hassan, could you help me out?"

Stewart smiled. "I remember you and Hassan were in the same class in high school. Speaking of which, I actually asked Augustus about that back in the day. Hassan was doing so well at the Citadel Quarters, so why did he suddenly transfer to Northgate High School?"

Augustus Carlson, sitting right beside Cecily, hummed at the memory. "I didn't agree to it at first. He was incredibly stubborn with me for a while." A hint of pride laced his tone. "But he promised me his grades wouldn't drop, so what else could I say? I let him go."
