Instead of getting angry, Natalie’s lips curved into a faint smile. "Did Professor Adler send you?"

Marvin shot her a condescending sideways glance. "Oh, so you actually know who Professor Adler is. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, considering his global prestige..."

He paused mid-sentence, suddenly realizing something was wrong. "Wait, how do you know he sent me..."

His eyes widened in shock. "H?"

She nodded. "Yes, it's me. Let's head inside."

"That's impossible..." He stared at her for a long time before letting out a cold scoff. "You probably overheard some rumors and thought you could impersonate..."

Natalie simply raised her phone, showing him her text thread with Professor Adler.

Marvin was utterly paralyzed, his face flushing crimson. "You... you're really the one who won the global championship at twelve..."

Without letting him finish, Natalie stepped forward. "Lead the way, unless you want the guards to kick me out."

Rendered completely speechless, Marvin followed her, studying the woman in front of him as if seeing her for the very first time. He still couldn't wrap his head around it.

Natalie was H? Did Hassan know?

He instantly had the urge to text his friend and ask, but then he remembered Professor Adler mentioning that H was highly likely to join their team. If she did, her identity would be classified as a state secret, meaning he couldn't tell a soul.

His own work was strictly confidential, too. Hassan only knew he was doing government research and spent all his time cooped up in a lab, but he had no idea what specific projects Marvin handled.

Just as Marvin was about to lock his phone, Hassan replied. [You're at the lab? What is she doing there?]

Marvin was taken aback. Since when did Hassan care about Natalie's whereabouts? Normally, he'd just say, 'Don't bother me with anything related to Natalie.'

Suddenly, Natalie's phone, which was resting on the desk, started ringing.

The caller ID read: The housekeeper (Sycamore Quays)

Knowing that Sycamore Quays was Hassan's penthouse, Marvin picked up the phone and held it out to her. "Are you going to answer?"

Immersed in the technical readouts of the problem, Natalie casually replied, "Put it on speaker for me."

The call connected, and the housekeeper's voice filtered through. "Mrs. Carlson, where did you put Mr. Carlson's canary yellow diamond cufflinks? I can't find them, and he wants to wear them tomorrow... You usually handle all of this."

Natalie paused, her brain automatically visualizing exactly which drawer and compartment those cufflinks were stored in.

She had personally managed everything related to Hassan—from ironing his suits and drawing his bath before he came home, to preparing his nutritious breakfasts every single morning.
