When Natalie regained consciousness, a hand was unbuttoning her shirt.
A man's voice muttered, "We should record a video. Make it interesting."
"Mr. Jagger said just photos," a shriller voice replied.
"If you're too scared, step aside. Let me," a burly man growled, shoving the scrawny one away.
"No! Don't complicate things!"
She slowly opened her eyes, taking in the nightmare before her.
The two men were facing away, arguing, entirely unaware she was awake.
Natalie tried to move, but her limbs felt like lead.
"Gardenia, seems like you're doing pretty well as a team lead. You even have the cash to treat us tonight."
Jacob Holt stood with his hands in his pockets, glancing at Hassan. "Hassan, how much are you paying her anyway?"
Hassan seemed to pull himself from his thoughts and shot him a look.
Gardenia looked at him. "Hassan, is everything okay? You keep checking your phone. If you're busy, you can head back."
He checked his watch. "It's fine."
Jacob, texting on his phone, complained, "What is Yale doing so late? What could he possibly be busy with? We finally get everyone together."
Saying that, he moved to call Yale.
A hand stopped him.
It was Hassan. His tone was casual, yet underneath, there was an unfamiliar edge. "If he's busy, don't bother him."
Jacob muttered an 'oh' and grumbled under his breath, "I bet he's just making excuses. What could he be doing right now?"
As Gardenia led them toward their VIP suite, her gaze subtly drifted toward the adjacent room.
Hassan noticed and asked, "What is it?"
