Natalie grabbed her phone to check the time. Hassan should have been up ages ago.
She had no idea what game he was suddenly trying to play. Gripping his wrist, she tried to shove his arm away. He seemed to wake up from the movement, his voice lazy and gravelly. "You don't have to work. Why are you up so early?"
"Let go of me." She checked the time again and shot back, "Who said I don't have to work?"
She kept pushing against him, but he easily overpowered her, pinning her hands down—and right in a very specific place. His lips brushed against her ear, his Adam's apple bobbing sexily. His lazy, magnetic voice teased her sensitive earlobe. "Help me."
"I thought we made ourselves perfectly clear last night," she said coldly. "You're never short of women. There are plenty willing to take care of your needs."
His eyes darkened. The pressure he had been exerting on her loosened. "Got someone else on your mind? Don't want to do this for me anymore?"
Natalie didn't answer him. She shoved him off, got up, and walked into the bathroom.
She thought to herself, *If only I could fall in love with someone else that easily.*
While brushing her teeth, she checked her phone. Quinn had sent her a 'good morning' text.
He must have sensed her walls coming down during last night's conversation.
A good morning text could definitely blur the lines.
Natalie replied with a simple *Morning*.
A shadow suddenly fell over her. She glanced sideways to see the man leaning lazily against the doorframe. Fresh out of bed, his slightly messy hair gave him an approachable, softened look. His lips were pressed in a thin line, and the gaze he fixed on her was simmering with unsatisfied desire.
For a split second, Natalie almost fell for the illusion that he was trying to ask her to stay.
But she banished the thought the very next second.
