Hassan's dark eyes locked onto her, his emotions impossible to decipher. He simply replied, "I'm looking into it."
Natalie took the opportunity to look at Augustus, adding a deeper layer of meaning to her tone. "Hassan probably hasn't had the time to tell you about the absurd things Chloe has been doing in secret."
"Natalie," Hassan interrupted.
She knew he didn't want this kind of scandal made public. As a man who was deeply fastidious, both physically and psychologically, Hassan was thoroughly disgusted by Chloe's deranged behavior.
But Natalie wasn't about to give him what he wanted. Right now, the entire Carlson family suspected her of kidnapping Gardenia—a woman highly valuable to the Carlson Group—out of petty jealousy.
Naturally, she had to present as much evidence in her favor as possible.
"Perfect timing, actually. I have the photos right here." Natalie pulled out her phone and forwarded the pictures to every single one of them.
Hassan shot her a cool glance but said nothing more.
The faint smile never left her lips as she looked toward Augustus and the other elders, her logic crystal clear:
"It's obvious that Chloe's mind is completely twisted. If she's capable of hunting down that many men just because they look like Hassan, do you really think she's incapable of orchestrating a kidnapping?"
Hassan closed his eyes, tuning out the conversation.
Natalie's argument was flawless. The Carlson family members, who had fully intended to interrogate her, fell dead silent. They stared at the photos on their screens, their expressions awkward as they repeatedly cast nervous glances at Hassan.
A heavy silence settled over the room.
Natalie sat quietly, taking another bite of pear. Only after giving everyone enough time to process the information did she speak again. "And I think I can guess exactly why Chloe did it."
Her gaze slowly drifted, landing first on Cormac. She met his eyes briefly before sweeping over Cyrus and Caspian.
Cormac's fingers tightened imperceptibly, while Cyrus and Caspian, completely oblivious to the hidden truth behind Rhea's hospitalization, maintained neutral expressions.
