She crumpled the paper towel in her hand into a ball. "Excuse me, you're blocking the trash can."
The terrified woman jolted to the side, and Natalie tossed the paper towel inside.
She walked out, her heels clicking sharply against the floor.
Zeke approached her. "Mrs. Carlson, I have the driver waiting for you at the entrance."
Natalie gave a curt nod.
Zeke glanced toward the restroom.
A bit of the commotion inside had filtered out into the hallway.
Having heard part of it, Zeke asked, "That person seemed to be a Carlson Group employee as well."
Natalie looked at him. "No need to fire her. If Carlson Group keeps hiring people like that, it'll go bankrupt eventually anyway."
Zeke was speechless.
Even though Natalie had said that, Zeke still called Hassan after she left and reported what had just happened. In the end, that woman was fired along with the other three employees. Plenty of people had been gossiping about the night's events; she just had the terrible luck of doing it right in front of the person involved.
And Natalie's temper was actually significantly more restrained now. In the past, who knew what lengths she would have gone to just to make someone suffer.
Natalie returned to Sycamore Quays.
Seeing that Natalie was wearing a different dress from earlier, Faye paused for a moment but kept to her usual routine. "I made some dessert tonight. Would you like a warm bowl?"
"Sure."
While Natalie sat at the dining table eating, Adrian came back from outside. He had likely just finished his tutoring session with Mr. Yates. Cecily walked in right behind him.
She pulled Adrian to the table to join the meal.
"I heard all about what happened at the banquet today," Cecily said.
Natalie paused but didn't say a word.
