Remembering the violent sound of shattering glass he just heard, his chest tightened. He immediately barked at the driver, "Go to Tobias Thornton's house."
After giving the order, he quickly texted Zeke to arrange for someone to pick up Adrian.
The driver sped through traffic, arriving at the Thornton residence in record time.
The moment Hassan stepped inside, the atmosphere in the Thornton house instantly shifted into overdrive.
Hearing that Hassan Carlson had arrived, Tobias and Yelena treated it with even more reverence than Natalie's visit. They immediately ordered the staff to prepare fresh fruit and expensive pastries, fawning over him as if he were their own flesh and blood.
The two of them even rushed out to personally greet him, practically escorting him inside.
As soon as he entered, Hassan's eyes immediately swept up and down Natalie, checking her over.
His gaze was terrifyingly dark, his lips pressed into a hard line, completely silent.
He walked straight over to Natalie and sat down beside her.
Natalie looked at him in surprise. "Why are you here?"
She had checked her phone earlier and saw the call was still connected, so she had simply grabbed it and hung up on him.
She genuinely hadn't expected Hassan to actually show up.
Instantly, she assumed he was here to stop her from finding out which hospital she had been at, and warning bells immediately started ringing in her head.
Tobias had been dodging the question with small talk for the past hour. Natalie had asked directly, yet he kept refusing to give a straight answer.
She suspected he wasn't just stalling; he was trying to use the information as a bargaining chip for some favor.
"I haven't even asked what *you're* doing here yet." Hassan shifted his cold gaze to Tobias. "If I remember correctly, the Thornton family doesn't welcome you. Have you forgotten who kicked you out? Because I remember it perfectly for you."
Hearing this, Tobias's face flushed an ugly shade of dark red. "I'm so sorry, Natalie. Back then, I was blinded by anger and completely irrational. I've regretted it every single day for the past few years! I am so sorry, Natalie. I'm apologizing to you now. I don't expect your forgiveness, I just hope it brings you a little peace of mind."
