During lunch the next day, Natalie casually scrolled through her social media feed and spotted Gardenia's latest post:

*16 hours. Exhausted, but so worth it. Thanks to the boss for taking me out to clear my head.* [Image] [Image] [Image]

The location was tagged as Norway.

The first photo was taken from the Fjellheisen observation deck atop Mount Storsteinen. The 420-meter elevation offered a sweeping view of the entire city of Tromsø, capturing the fjords, the city lights, and the snow-capped mountains in the background. It was the perfect blue hour, where the sunset bled into the glow of the Northern Lights.

The second photo was inside the northernmost McDonald's in the world in Tromsø. It showed the backs of Adrian and Hassan. She recognized him instantly.

The third photo was taken on the outskirts of Tromsø—dog sledding. The little boy was sitting in the sled, and the shadows of all three of them stretched across the snowy ground.

The comments below were full of people consoling Gardenia.

*[Don't be sad, Gardenia. That person who came out of nowhere was just too strong.]*

*[Enjoy the trip and clear your mind! We're all waiting for you to come back.]*

*[Cheer up! Have a great time!]*

Gardenia hadn't won first place yesterday, so Hassan had immediately taken her on a 16-hour flight to see the Northern Lights just to cheer her up. How incredibly doting.

Natalie gripped her phone tightly. Norway, of all places. Was he doing this on purpose, or had he completely forgotten what that place meant to the two of them?

She didn't even feel the pain anymore; she just felt that even those past memories were now tainted and filthy.

Without missing a beat, Natalie made a post of her own.

It was a picture of Hassan.

Just like last time, it was an extremely explicit, private photo.

This time, Gardenia reached out to Natalie directly.

"Natalie, I didn't mean anything by that post. The view was nice, so I shared it. There's no need for you to leak Hassan's private photos every time I post something. He deserves respect."

Their previous chat history had ended with Gardenia thanking Natalie for helping Adrian get enrolled in school.

Looking at it now, the whole situation was absurd and utterly laughable.

What Natalie didn't know was that Marvin immediately called Hassan.

"Hassan, when are you planning to divorce Natalie?"

"How is that any of your business?"

"I just think... you like Gardenia, and Natalie clearly doesn't like you anymore. Since she's the one asking for a divorce, you guys should just get it over with. Wouldn't it be great for you to marry Gardenia?"

"Who told you Natalie doesn't like me anymore?"

"She's mentioned divorce more than once. Her attitude is completely different from before. I can tell she's not joking. I really think you two should just part ways amicably and finalize it."

"This has nothing to do with you, Marvin. This is my family's business."

"Hassan, are you... do you actually have feelings for Natalie? Is that why you won't sign?"

The man's voice was freezing. "For me, there is no 'like' or 'dislike.' There is only what is suitable. And Natalie is suited to be Mrs. Carlson. That's all."

The call ended.
