That evening, when Natalie returned to Sycamore Quays, Hassan was in the side hall practicing calligraphy with Cecily.

Both his grandmother and he possessed impeccable handwriting with a brush.

Natalie ignored them completely and headed straight for the bedroom.

"You trained for so long. Why don't you want to go back?" he asked, setting down his brush.

Natalie paused slightly and turned to look at him. "You want me to go act as Gardenia's backup dancer just because they're short a person now? If I don't show up, none of them get to perform, right?"

Hearing this, Cecily frowned. "Hassan, Gardenia is still in the dance troupe? I thought she was busy with that new project. How does she have the time for this?"

Hassan replied calmly, "She co-choreographed this dance with her team. She just wants to see her dream through."

Natalie's lips curled. "Right. Everyone has to pave the way for her dreams. Well, I refuse."

The man's gaze remained tranquil. "What would it take for you to go?"

She said it casually, "I was the lead. Give me back my position as the lead."

Natalie never for a second expected Hassan to agree.

But without an ounce of hesitation, he said, "Fine."

Natalie stared at him, stunned. "What good is your agreement? Will Gardenia agree to that?"

Hassan picked up his brush again. Lowering his eyes, he fluidly wrote the character for 'Natalie' on the paper. "She doesn't care about the title. She said all that matters is getting on stage."

And just like that, after everything, Natalie was the lead dancer once again.

This was the routine she had poured countless hours into. Selfishly, she wanted to see it to perfection.

Natalie hadn't even gotten payback for the slap Kara had given her last time. She caught the girl's wrist mid-air, twisted it, and delivered a sharp, resounding backhand across Kara's cheek.

The impact left Kara completely stunned. She stared at Natalie, eyes wide, completely speechless.

Natalie shook her hand out and raised an eyebrow. "What, did you think you were the only one allowed to hit people? Did you think my hands were just for decoration?"

Kara gritted her teeth. "How can you stand there and look so righteous?! Natalie! You set this up, didn't you?!"

The two understudies glared at her with equal fury. "You knew the three of us would get hurt so you could swoop right back in! You used it to threaten the director into making you the lead! You sabotaged us on purpose!"

Natalie scoffed. "Are you completely paranoid? How exactly did I force the three of you to go out to eat together? Did I use mind control?" She let out a cold laugh. "Why don't you use your brains and think about who exactly pushed you all to go to that dinner in the first place?"

Hearing that, Kara's body suddenly went completely rigid.
