Hearing this, the mall owner began to tremble, his back bending into a near-ninety-degree bow toward Jamie. “Mr.… Mr. Baylor, what do we do? This is…”
Jamie’s eyes remained fixed on the monitor. His voice was still low and hoarse. “Tell your men to open the doors. Say the electronic system had a problem and it’s been fixed.”
“Yes, yes. Please, stay here. I’ll be right back,” the owner said, wiping sweat from his forehead as he scurried out.
Jamie’s eyes narrowed as he watched the screen. Suddenly, he pointed at the image of a girl wearing sunglasses, a mask, and a hat. He commanded the nearby guard, “Stop! Pull up all the footage of those two girls, from the moment they left the restroom onward.”
A few minutes later, the guard reported, “Mr. Baylor, after they walked out of the mall, the highest camera at the entrance caught them turning into Cobbleway Lane.”
Jamie frowned and immediately called Aaron. “I’m sending you a clipped video. Track them based on the people in this footage. Start from where they turned onto Cobbleway Lane.”
“Understood, Mr. Baylor,” Aaron replied instantly. “You should head back to the car and get some rest. I’ll handle the rest.”
Jamie rubbed his temples again. “I’m going to Stella’s company myself. Send a few more men to check her house.”
After hanging up, Jamie stood and strode out, heading for the parking garage.
Half an hour later, Jamie and several bodyguards appeared in the lobby of Stella’s company.
He placed his business card on the reception desk. “I’m here to discuss a contract with Stella Vance. Please inform her.”
