Given the sheer financial power of the Baylor Group, he simply didn't have the resources to compete.
Now, with the explosive popularity of the Sugar Buddies, this new partnership could easily allow DC Entertainment to bulldoze his own company entirely.
Surviving and scaling up in the entertainment industry was no easy feat, and Starlight Entertainment was his life's work.
Seeing Hayden leaning back comfortably with no intention of acknowledging Myron further, Suzie immediately pivoted the conversation.
"Considering your sincere attitude, I'm willing to overlook your wife's disrespectful behavior toward me earlier. However, your son pinched my daughter, and he must give her a formal apology. If she suffers any lasting emotional distress from this, I will not let it slide."
She spoke without overt anger, but her voice was icy and resolute, carrying an authority that demanded absolute compliance.
"What? Your daughter's arm only has a tiny red mark! My son scraped his elbows on the floor, and his legs are hurt. He's bleeding in some places. We haven't even settled that score, and you have the nerve to demand an apology from us?"
Having overheard Suzie's demands from across the room, Myron's wife had stormed back over to confront them.
"And another thing," she continued, "you threw water on me earlier, and I haven't made you pay for that yet."
Seeing his wife's finger nearly poking Suzie in the face, Myron quickly stepped in and grabbed her arm. "Stop making a scene. We'll do as she says."
Disgusted by her husband's cowardice, her fury reached a boiling point. "Myron, I heard your conversation just now. What, are you seriously willing to humiliate your own wife and child over some stupid company business? Are you even a man?"
"What are you talking about? Our son is the one in the wrong here. Spoiling him like this isn't love—it's ruining him," Myron shot back, adopting a righteous tone.
"Parents, shall we review the security footage first?" the principal suggested gently.
Nadia clamped her mouth shut, staring nervously at the smartphone in the principal's hand.
She knew her own son well enough to suspect that the situation was exactly as the other kids had described.
Even so, spoiled or not, she refused to swallow her pride.
Since marrying Myron, she had struggled with severe infertility issues.
She had endured countless rounds of IVF, endured agonizing injections, and suffered immensely before finally having her precious baby boy in her middle age.
