Myron's wife finished her rant, then pointed a trembling finger at the principal and the teachers. "And you! What kind of trashy elite preschool is this? You let my son get bullied right under your noses. I'm suing all of you."
She whirled around to glare at Suzie. "And you! I'm pressing charges for attempted malicious disfigurement. Let's see if you have the guts to fight us in court."
The principal and teachers stood frozen, too intimidated to interrupt, watching the escalating scene with growing anxiety.
Suzie, who had been pulled a few feet away from the table during the commotion, slowly walked back over.
She deliberately leaned in to grab one of the remaining paper cups.
Seeing the movement, Myron's wife instinctively scrambled back a few steps in sheer panic.
But Suzie had no intention of throwing another drink in her face. She was simply thirsty.
She brought the cup to her lips, took a slow sip, and spoke with icy precision. "Principal, I don't want to hear any ridiculous excuses about the security cameras being broken or the storage being full. If I don't get that footage today, you might as well pack up and close this place down."
The principal nodded frantically. "We have it, we have it. The cameras are working perfectly."
This was her first time meeting Suzie, so she didn't know much about her, but she was painfully aware of exactly who Hayden Wycliffe was.
The Wycliffe family's ancestral estate was located not far from her own hometown. They were a legendary, highly influential family.
Even though the Wycliffes had largely relocated overseas in recent years, their remaining assets in Mornhaven City were still staggering.
If one were to calculate their true net worth, it felt as though they could easily rival the Baylor Group itself.
That fact alone was enough to completely crush the owner of Starlight Entertainment. The principal knew exactly whose bad side she needed to avoid.
With that realization, she hurriedly turned to the teacher. "Ms. Larson, go rush the security room. Get a copy of that video immediately."
Sniffling softly, she scooped up her son and retreated to the far end of the office.
Myron was silent for a moment before adopting a polite, deferential tone. "Mr. Wycliffe, Mrs. Wycliffe, I know my son's temperament. We've completely spoiled him, and I promise to discipline him properly when we get home. As for my wife, she was just frantic out of love for our child. I hope you won't hold her outburst against her. Regarding the red marks on your daughter's arm, if my son really did pinch her, I am absolutely willing to compensate you."
Hayden settled naturally onto the sofa, crossing his long legs and leaning back with a lazy, commanding grace.
He leveled a cool, unreadable gaze at the other man. "You're remarkably magnanimous, Mr. Finch. How is it that you can still be so courteous after Timefly Studio rejected your business?"
"Well, business is business, but there's no need for bad blood," Myron said smoothly. "The fault in this incident lies entirely with Starlight Entertainment. I only hope that once your contract with the Baylor Group concludes, you'll consider our company as your first choice."
His tone remained perfectly level and extraordinarily polite, though it had nothing to do with genuine generosity.
The truth was, the Baylor Group's recent acquisition of DC Entertainment had dealt a massive blow to Starlight Entertainment.
