Suzie scrolled through the images one by one, completely stunned.
She stared at the monitor, her eyes wide with disbelief.
She pulled up two specific photos and placed them side by side for a direct comparison.
Suzanne used to look absolutely nothing like her current self!
Suzie frantically opened the documents, desperate for an explanation.
Peter had been incredibly thorough, providing detailed charts and comprehensive reports. His professionalism was evident on every page.
Reading through the text, the truth finally clicked. Suzanne had undergone extensive cosmetic surgery to achieve her current appearance.
Suzie was baffled. She simply couldn't understand it.
Why would a complete stranger alter her face to look exactly like hers?
She had read bizarre tabloid stories about obsessed fans getting plastic surgery to resemble their favorite celebrities. But she wasn't famous. Her social circle was incredibly small, and she never even posted pictures of herself online.
How could this happen?
She studied the photos again. The original Suzanne had a similar face shape, but her facial features had been worlds apart.
Unable to wrap her head around it, Suzie closed the files and drafted an email to Peter.
He replied within minutes.
"Here is the address and phone number of the cosmetic clinic. You can go there and ask around yourself. Alternatively, for an additional fee, I can make the trip for you."
Suzie stared at the address. It was one of the most prestigious reconstructive surgery centers in Mornhaven.
She typed a quick response. "I will think about it and get back to you."
At the same time, inside the Baylor Group headquarters.
Keegan Lynn, the business department manager, invited Aaron into his office. He looked visibly disappointed.
"Aaron, I heard the Sugar Buddies project is officially moving forward. Did you mention my request to Mr. Baylor? Why is our department being cut out of this deal?"
Aaron gave Keegan a flat look. He knew Keegan was upset about missing out on a lucrative opportunity.
But just because Aaron had Jamie's ear didn't mean he made the decisions.
People treated Aaron as if he could magically sway the CEO's mind with a few whispers, completely overestimating his authority. If he had that much power, he wouldn't be an assistant.
Still, Aaron preferred to keep the peace. He put on a sympathetic expression and lowered his voice.
"Mr. Lynn, as a senior manager, you know how these things go. I don't play favorites. Whenever you ask me to pass along a message, I repeat it to Mr. Baylor word for word. But you know his temper. I follow orders. I don't get to pitch my own ideas. You aren't in my shoes, so you don't realize how difficult my position is."
