The Years Between Signing and Seeing novel Chapter 364

Across the street, a dense crowd had gathered.

Jamie's agile figure weaved effortlessly through the men.

He fought with both fists and feet, his movements lightning-fast.

Every single strike landed heavily, looking painful enough to make the onlookers wince.

Aaron had joined the fray as well...

In the blink of an eye, the thugs were groaning on the ground around the van, their pleas for mercy echoing down the street.

Then came the applause and whistles from the crowd watching the spectacle...

"Get lost!"

At Aaron's barked order, the men scrambled up, helping each other limp into the van before fleeing in panic.

Suzie's eyes locked onto Jamie, who had now stopped moving.

The man radiated an aura so intimidating it was genuinely chilling.

It was the first time she had ever seen him fight. He was even faster and sharper than Aaron...

If she didn't harbor such a deep-seated resentment toward him, she might have admitted that the jerk looked even hotter fighting than he did playing basketball...

Catching Jamie looking her way, Suzie quickly averted her eyes.

She turned to check on Mia's back, asking with concern,

"Where did you hit yourself earlier? Are you okay? Let's get you to the hospital to check it out."

Mia waved her hands dismissively.

"I'm fine, Suzie, it just hurt for a second."

Then she noticed Suzie's bleeding arm and gasped in horror.

"Ah! I'm such an idiot, I was so busy watching the fight I forgot to find something to bandage you up!"

With that, Mia spun around and bolted into the café.

Suzie finally remembered she was hurt. The finger-length gash was still seeping blood.

"Thanks for the rescue, but no thanks."

Recovering her wits, Suzie pulled her hand from his grip, trying to hide her unease behind a calm tone.

Just then, Mia hurried back with a first-aid kit.

Suzie moved over to a trash can standing by the door.

"Mia, I'll hold my arm like this, you pour the saline over it to wash it out."

She held her arm suspended over the trash can, speaking without turning around.

The saline bottle soon appeared in her vision, and Suzie focused entirely on the wound.

It wasn't until the bottle was nearly empty that Suzie realized the hand holding it wasn't Mia's at all.

"Bear with it," Jamie murmured gently.

Suzie frowned and looked back. Mia gave a helpless shrug, signaling with her eyes that Jamie had simply snatched the kit from her.

Suzie turned her head back to find Jamie preparing a gauze pad, ready to apply it to her cut.
