Seeing this, Aaron quickly turned and pretended to walk toward another room. Ruby sprinted down the hallway, disappearing in a flash.

Aaron stood in place, frowning as he turned Ruby's words over in his mind. Especially the line: "Now that she's gone, you won't even spare your own flesh and blood."

Aaron felt there was definitely more to the story. He walked back to Stewart's room.

Inside, Margaret had collapsed onto the floor, wailing loudly. David sat in silence, staring blankly at the floor.

Stewart scratched his head, looking utterly annoyed. "If you guys aren't going to take care of me, then leave! You're so loud! Are you here to look after a patient or what? Patients need rest, and all you do is fight! Ugh, everything hurts..."

Thinking they were about to start screaming again, Aaron considered leaving. But Margaret wiped her tears, got up from the floor, and began pleading earnestly.

"Stewart, please just get your act together. Your father and I are getting old. We can't handle this kind of torment anymore..."

Margaret's sudden shift to a gentle, pleading tone left Aaron stunned. Her son was a delinquent, yet instead of disciplining him, she was softly coaxing him.

Aaron couldn't stand being there any longer. A thought crossed his mind—he should find Ruby instead.
