The Years Between Signing and Seeing novel Chapter 411

The men around her were practically burning holes through her with their stares. It seemed no one could take their eyes off her.

It had barely been any time at all, and already several men had approached her, asking for a dance.

She certainly possessed an intoxicating, magnetic charm...

Jamie's eyes darkened a fraction more, his jaw tightening into a rigid line.

He had always known she was fiercely attractive to men, but he hadn't known she could dance—let alone dance this well.

Standing beside him, Aaron Stillman carefully observed the shifts in his boss's expression.

This... this was definitely jealousy.

Aaron was just about to say something when Jamie suddenly stood up from the sofa. His voice was icy. "Tell Chester... to wait until he asks me himself."

As he spoke, his gaze remained locked on the dance floor. Aaron couldn't help but feel a twinge of worry.

A man was currently approaching Suzie, leaning in to say something. The guy's body was practically glued to hers.

Aaron swallowed hard and offered a cautious warning. "Understood, Mr. Baylor. Just... please don't do anything impulsive."

Jamie withdrew his gaze, giving him a flat, passing glance, and said nothing more.

Meanwhile, near Suzie.

The man looked at her with genuine sincerity. Having just been politely turned down, he tried again, a gentlemanly smile on his face. "I'm actually quite good at the tango. I'd genuinely love to share a dance with you. Would you do me the honor?"

As he had approached, Suzie and Stella had already slowed their steps.

Raising an eyebrow, a mischievous thought crossed Stella's mind. "Listen here, pretty boy. If you don't make yourself scarce, your big boss is going to be breathing down your neck."

With his hands tucked into his pockets, Orion arched a brow. A teasing glint flashed in his eyes as he replied in a crisp, clear voice, "You mean Mr. Baylor? He's my boss, not my dad."

He flashed a confident smile at the two women, gave a slight shrug, and added, "Besides, I've already graduated. I'm a grown man, not a 'pretty boy'..."

Suzie barely registered a word Orion was saying.

Her mind was entirely hung up on what Stella had just pointed out.

Jamie was coming this way?

She didn't turn to look directly. Instead, she used her peripheral vision to scan the direction Stella had been facing.
