Suzie gently wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes, sniffled, and took a moment to collect herself before continuing.

"I'm fine, Oliver. We just ended up talking about it. As long as I have my kids with me, I don't care about anything else."

She looked out the window again, hesitation creeping into her voice. "Actually... about the Lockwoods. I don't think I want to go up there and confront them directly anymore. I want to get my hands on something of theirs—something I can use for a DNA test. Once the results are in, then we'll see... What do you think?"

Oliver thought for a second and nodded. "That's probably for the best. It'll prevent any unnecessary drama. I'll figure out a way to get a DNA sample. Should I take you back now?"

"You must have a lot going on at your company," Suzie declined gently. "I can figure it out myself. The kids are at the studio today, so you can just drop me off where my car is."

Oliver didn't argue. He started the engine and said, "Alright. If you can't get it done yourself, let me know."

"I will."

On the drive back, Suzie told Oliver about her departure from Timefly Studio, though she conveniently left out her encounter with Alice Quinn.

She simply said she wanted to branch out and start her own business.

They chatted casually until they arrived at the street where Suzie had parked.

Just as Oliver was looking for a spot, Suzie's phone suddenly rang from inside her purse.

Seeing Mia's name on the screen made her stomach drop.

Mia should be watching the kids right now. Did they forget something?

With that thought, Suzie quickly answered. "Mia, what's wrong?"

Mia's frantic, tear-choked voice instantly poured through the speaker. "Suzie! Get to the hospital right now! North River Hospital, third-floor pediatrics! Zoey... she's been bleeding from her nose on set, we just rushed her to the ER!"

"I'm on my way!"
