Suzie stopped in her tracks, frowning. "Mr. Baylor, you should head back."
Jamie replied with a calm expression, "I'll wait until you're done, take you out to eat, and we can talk."
Suzie didn't have the time to deal with him right now. She gave him a cold glance, grabbed Mia's arm, and walked out of the office.
Before they even reached the front desk, they heard shouting and crying.
The receptionist, Tanya, ran over to meet Suzie, reporting with a face full of anxiety, "Ms. Sterling, just now when Cora was walking from your office to the staff break room, she bumped into Ms. Lynn, who was just coming out of the conference room. She grabbed Cora and wouldn't let go, insisting Cora stole the watch, and... and she hit Cora."
Suzie nodded, her expression instantly turning icy, and her pace quickening.
When she arrived at the front desk, she saw a fashionably dressed woman pointing at Cora and swearing at her. Cora had her head down, hands tightly clutching the hem of her shirt, crying her eyes out.
"Ms. Lynn, is it? I hear you lost a watch in my studio?" Suzie's cold voice echoed through the lobby, carrying a powerful intimidation.
Lydia Lynn panted and stopped hurling insults at Cora. She turned around, looking Suzie up and down with absolute disdain, and then said haughtily, "Oh? So you're the boss of this studio? Finally decided to show your face? I thought you were hiding the watch and didn't dare come out!"
Suzie stood tall and straight. Even though she was wearing flat shoes, she was taller than Lydia, who was wearing heels.
She cast a cold glance at Lydia, then shifted her gaze to the pile of items on the coffee table. Mia had mentioned earlier that Lydia had angrily dumped those out of her bag.
