"It's perfectly fine. It's beautiful here—the scenery is gorgeous, you can hear the birds, and the air is incredibly fresh," Suzie replied with a warm smile.
"I'm glad you like it. Watch your step," Delilah murmured, gently guiding Suzie by the arm as they crossed the threshold.
Just inside the entrance, two rows of hostesses in elegant formal dresses bowed in unison to welcome them.
Beyond the foyer lay a winding stone path leading to the main hall. Flanking the path were beautifully lit pavilions, artificial koi ponds, and intricate rock gardens.
The sound of flowing water mixed with birdsong made Suzie a bit nostalgic for her days in Cherryblossom Town. Despite the painful memories associated with her past, she missed the profound peace and quiet she'd found there.
"Ms. Sterling, this is The Willow Creek Estate. It has dining, private suites, hot springs, and a golf course tucked away in the back. Everything, from the amenities to the service, is strictly five-star. A lot of people in the industry prefer this place for private retreats or sensitive business meetings," Delilah explained as she led the way.
Suzie pulled herself out of her thoughts and nodded. "It's very impressive. I hadn't heard of it before."
Delilah offered a small smile. "They don't advertise. They cater almost exclusively to people in our circles. Come, right this way."
Suzie followed Delilah to the entrance of a private dining room. Two waiters respectfully pulled open the heavy, ornate double doors. Soft classical music drifted out into the hallway.
"Ms. Sterling, Mia, please have a seat and relax for a moment. The menu here changes daily based on fresh ingredients. I'll be right back," Delilah said, before pausing to ask gently, "Do either of you have any dietary restrictions?"
