Tonight Her Love Ended novel Chapter 79

She turned her head just in time to see Chloe snap her gaze away, her face practically radiating disgust and annoyance.

She ignored it. It wasn't worth the energy.

Nor did she bother mentioning to the rest of the department that she had just single-handedly finalized all of their lagging projects.

She mainly wanted to use this initial workload to evaluate their skills and see if anyone could actually keep pace with her before rolling out the next phase of assignments.

Chloe rolled her eyes aggressively. "Showing up late on your first day is bad enough, but now you're just sitting there playing on your phone. You have zero professional work ethic!"

She had no idea why this woman had suddenly developed such intense hostility toward her.

But she didn't have the time to care. She merely pointed out, "You still haven't fixed the error I mentioned earlier."

Chloe stared at her in sheer disbelief. "Are you kidding me? Do you actually think you're some kind of expert? You're just a washed-up admin that Forrester didn't want. What do you know about tech development? Do us all a favor and stay in your lane!"

With that, she violently spun her chair around to face her own desk.

A woman like that—sleeping around with married executives—was probably crawling with all sorts of nasty infections.

She needed to keep her distance!

Unbothered, Nova simply stood up, left the bullpen, and returned to overseeing the other active research projects.

During the lunch hour, Mathew received the latest batch of optimized data she had pushed through. Professor Hickey and Tobias Stratton received copies as well.

In their group chat, Mathew was practically bursting with pride, though he purposely played it cool when texting her: "Keep at it. This is a decent start, but you're just scratching the surface!"

Hickey, however, couldn't hold back. "Oh, stop acting so smug! You must be over the moon having a star pupil like her. I have three entire teams crunching data right now, and combined, they can't even match her pace! She solved our bottleneck in a single lunch break!"

Neither Samuel nor Tobias chimed in immediately.

Instead, Tobias sent a private message directly to her 'Aro' account: "If you hadn't gone off and gotten married, you'd be world-famous by now. And CN Dynamics would have easily become the dominant tech superpower on the planet!"

He didn't know who she had married or the hell she had endured in that relationship.

She simply replied with a smiley face emoji.

While she remained entirely unfazed, Hickey's lab was practically throwing a party.

A bottleneck that had stalled his teams for three solid months had been shattered by her in less than an hour!

Her mind reeled in absolute shock. She couldn't believe it—this woman was actually Mr. Wyndham's mistress!

But Mr. Wyndham was supposed to be obsessed with Aro!

Swallowing her outrage, she forced a professional tone. "Mr. Wyndham, I've finished the project updates on my end."

Everyone else had already submitted theirs. She was the last one.

Out of pure, desperate frustration, she had secretly tried the exact fix Nova had casually suggested earlier.

To her utter disbelief, it actually worked.

She convinced herself it had to be a blind fluke.

There was no way Nova actually understood their code.

She was just a low-level admin from Forrester.

Nova didn't bother standing up. Remaining in the CEO's chair, she reached out, took the file, gave it a quick scan, and nodded. "Yes. It's correct this time."
