Too Good for You The Ex-Wife You Lost novel Chapter 183

Team Moriane naturally saw Asher's interview. When they heard that Quake was his girlfriend, the team members were astounded.

None had imagined the highly skilled Quake to choose the rather ordinary-looking Asher as her boyfriend.

Their scrutinizing stares made his pride prickle, though he didn't think he'd done anything wrong. It wasn't like he'd lied either.

After his interview, Team Moriane began a private discussion.

Bruce's expression was gloomy as he said, "Quake has taunted us time and again, and we've swallowed it. Now that we've lost three times in her home country, this is utterly humiliating for Moriane! We can't just leave with our tails between our legs!"

Martin chimed in, "If we could invite her to Moriane and appoint her to technical management, I believe our modifications will soon achieve major breakthroughs."

But they all knew that was wishful thinking, and a huge trouble lay ahead. Quake had made it clear that she wasn't going to Moriane and even looked down on them.

"I have an idea," Tom announced. Cold light glinted in his eyes as he sharply said, "I heard Mr. Miller is the heir to the Millers in Brindley with a powerful, exceptional status. He's also Quake's boyfriend, and if we could invite him to Moriane, won't she be sure to follow?

"If persuasion doesn't work, we use force. Either way, we have plenty of ways to make her work for us as long as she's in Moriane."

Martin agreed with Tom. Getting Quake to modify cars in Moriane secondary. What mattered most was that for years, she'd repeatedly provoked them, which set them off, but they had no way to teach her a lesson.

Now that an opportunity for a payback had fallen into their laps, they certainly wouldn't let it go.

The team turned to Warren, the modification expert from the Morianese military. No one dared act rashly without his word of agreement.

Warren's expression was as cold as if he were inwardly making up his mind. "Quake bolting away without so much as a goodbye shows that she looks down on us. We've taken so much humiliation from her, so this time, we have to give her a lesson.

"Do as you said. Take Mr. Miller and use him in exchange for Quake."

If they couldn't summon Quake, the Millers surely could. Besides, they wouldn't mistreat Asher and just needed them as a swap for Quake.

They were certain that the Millers feared the Morianese military and wouldn't dare act recklessly against them.

Noelle could only sigh for Lola and thought. "Serves her right."

Wiping the sweat off her forehead, she quickly rinsed off and headed to the lounge. The secluded training arena Hunter had arranged for her was perfect for training and free from any outside disturbances.

She picked up a bottle of water to drink when a clear female voice sounded behind her. "Ms. Mentor!"

Noelle's hands jerked slightly. She turned around to see that Alexis had arrived at some point with arms full of supplies and looked at her somewhat apologetically.

Noelle's expression darkened as she adopted the stern demeanor of a strict professor. "Why are you here instead of training at the camp?"

"Ms. Mentor… I've missed you…" Alexis muttered, slowly walking over and looking hurt. She set the bags down and tugged lightly at Noelle's sleeve, coquettishly saying, "I know that I've messed up, and I shouldn't have been so reckless to talk about retiring. I'm sorry.

"I know you're going to the International Grand Prix, so I came on behalf of all the racers at the camp to visit and check on you. Please don't stay mad at me, alright?" She blinked her earnest eyes at Noelle.

Almost immediately, Noelle's mood lifted. She couldn't deny that she was pleased to see Alexis here for a visit.
