Too Good for You The Ex-Wife You Lost novel Chapter 229

Hunter couldn't bear it. "How about you let him stay? Right here."

There were enough people present here who could help take care of Zayne. If Noelle went back alone and things got too busy for her, there'd be no one there to lend her a hand.

Noelle shook her head. "I'll first contact a doctor who can treat his eyes. He has to receive treatment immediately. Also, I don't want Bonnie staying with him. They may get into a fight."

She knew Zayne's temperament better than anyone else.

If he stayed with Bonnie and bullied her, she would definitely feel guilty.

Hunter disagreed even more after hearing this and had the housekeeper take Zayne inside the house.

"We can ask Chandler to fix his eyes. Why look for other solutions when we have someone close by who can help? Besides, his eyes are already like this—how could he bully anyone?"

Bonnie wasn't so weak that she'd be bullied by a kid who had gone blind.

Noelle thought it over and decided to listen to Hunter's suggestion and stay.

What Hunter said was reasonable.

It was unlikely that someone else could cure Zayne's eyes in his current condition.

But if they went to Chandler, things might be different.

Bonnie had been waiting inside the house. Seeing Noelle bring Zayne in, she quickly wiped away her tears and threw herself into Noelle's arms. "Mommy, you're not leaving, right?"

Noelle stroked Bonnie's head, guilt rising in her chest.

Since she'd promised to be Bonnie's mother, she should be spending more time with her.

But just now, she'd actually thought of leaving. If Bonnie saw her taking Zayne away, she probably would've been even sadder.

Noelle's eyes dimmed. "Bonnie, I'm not leaving. Let me introduce you to someone. This is Zayne, he's one year younger than you. From now on, he'll be your little brother."

Bonnie was a bit unwilling.

After all, she still vividly remembered how Zayne had snatched her toy from before.

But she still wanted to be obedient to Noelle, so she reluctantly said, "Hello, Zayne. My name is Bonnie Haberkorn. From now on, you can call me Bonnie."

Noelle almost laughed.

Bonnie usually acted cute and spoiled. Yet, when she became a big sister, she suddenly became quite intimidating.

Zayne couldn't see, so he didn't resist Bonnie's gesture of goodwill.

He nodded and replied obediently, "Hello, Bonnie."

He narrowed his eyes, clenching his fists tight.

If the other party hadn't pressed him so hard, he wouldn't have sent Zayne to Noelle.

But sending him over wasn't all bad.

At least Noelle had the capability and connections to find a doctor and get Zayne treated.

These surveillance videos would ultimately be handed over to that woman.

Though he didn't know what she wanted them for.

But as long as Noelle could come back to him while simultaneously taking care of the child and earning money for him, he couldn't care less about everything else.

Even if Noelle didn't return to him, the other party had promised him a payment of ten million dollars.

With that money, he could sell the house and live it up—what kind of woman couldn't he get?

Clifford's lips curled into a smile, but he hissed in pain. He touched the corner of his mouth.

He looked at the screen, full of hatred. "Hunter Haberkorn, how dare you steal my woman? I'll make you understand that I'm not someone to mess with!

"And Noelle," He ground his teeth. "You hooked up with Hunter Haberkorn long ago, yet you pretend to be some chaste, virtuous woman. A gold-digger like you can only stay by my side!"
