Chapter 171
There were only a few people left when I arrived at Helix. Staff members, a handful of researchers, a security guard who looked at me like I was crazy.
But Celeste looked at me like I was a stranger. Like I was some beggar who had wandered infʊ her path by mistake
Then, she turned and walked away.
I stayed there on my knees, surrounded by hundreds of flowers, and I had never been more humiliated in my entire life.
People were staring at me. Whispers. Pointing. Laughing. I could hear them, feel their eyes ort me like insects crawling across my skin.
I got up. I brushed the dirt off my knees, left the flowers there, and I walked back to my car.
Celeste had really changed. The woman I loved, the woman I married, would never have shamed me like that. She would have at least listened. She would have at least given me a chance to explain.
But this new Celeste, this Celeste who had tasted five billion dollars and another man’s cock, she had no use for me anymore
I sat in my car, my head in my hands, and I thought about what to do. I thought long and hard. I went through every option, every possibility, every desperate plan that my exhausted mind could conjure up.
And then an idea came to me.
An idea that seemed really possible.
I started my car and drove to the house where I had kept the four girls, the members of the Phantom Circle who had tried to ruin
The drive was long and winding, through streets that grew darker and quieter the further I went from the city center. By the time I pulled up to the gate of my secluded property, the sky was completely black, the only light coming from the floodlights mounted on the walls.
The security guards recognized my car and opened the gate immediately, standing at attention as I drove through.
I parked and walked inside, my footsteps echoing through the quiet hallways. The guards nodded at me as I passed, their hands resting on the weapons at their hips, ready for anything.
My lip curled upward.
“Interesting,” I said.

The readers' comments on the novel: Two Can Play (Celeste and Dominic)
Agent Frost better teach Tasha how to protect herself if anything gets out of hand or if she’s ever in danger or forced again...
I need some good news for Tasha. Special Agent hear her out and don’t let her get back into that life. Do I hear a romance or someone Tasha can truly count on besides Scarlett??...
I hope Tasha is let off and helped by this detective and gets away from all this maybe a twist for this novel is she gets on the good side of things and gets away from that life completely even if she has to separate herself from Scarlett but it appears Tasha gets hurt by Scarlett’s and sparrow’s stupidity as she’s blamed for Scarlett’s decisions...
Her life is ruined and Scarlett’s been living a luxurious life through it all...
I officially hate everyone for hurting Tasha and allowing things to happen to her. This whole Sparrow and Scarlett situation is some BS....
It’s a bit stupid that as powerful and ruthless sparrow is he and Scarlett sure do a lousy job of protecting and having guard on Tasha. Like how did all of this happen to her if he was supposed to be protecting her based on the contract??...
More Chapters Please...
I thought it said 10 chapters a day??? It’s been like 2-3 days and no update after chapter 574. The release time is so inconsistent, I have started to just loose interest....
Just find Tasha and get her some help. How did she have sparrow’s men watching her if she really cared so much. Scarlett’s character is so suspect…...
Storyline is interesting it’s just so much sexual content I have to skip through just find out the main context of the story....
