Two Can Play (Celeste and Dominic) novel Chapter 381

Chapter 381

Nhad no intention of staying under Emerson’s control for five years. When I had first read that contract, I had believed it would be just Emerson and Shane, and the way he had sounded had made me think he was a man who did not like sharing his women.

He had even written it into the contract, that I was not allowed to be with other men, that cheating would attract punishment.

I had assumed Shane must be someone very important to him, important enough to earn an exception. But now I knew better.

I was just a whore to him, a prize to be offered to whoever he pleased, and the moment I had enough money, I would find a way to end our arrangement. For now, I needed that fifty billion, and I would do whatever it took to hold it in my hands.

Emerson snapped his fingers again, and I reached up and let the jacket fall from my shoulders.

The outfit he had given me was designed to make me look like a wild bunny, a confection of black, white, and brown material that barely qualified as clothing.

Emerson sat off to the side with his legs crossed, a glass of whiskey in his hand and a smile on his face, watching it all like a show he particularly enjoyed.

The money started flying. Wads of cash, hundred-dollar bills, fluttering through the air to brush against my skin before falling to the floor at my feet. The more I danced, the faster they threw, and I let the happiness show on my face, although it had nothing to do with the bills they were tossing at me. It was because I could see how far gone they were, how excited, and I knew I was one step closer to that fifty billion.

I could not let a single penny go to waste. There was so much I needed to do with that money, so much I had planned. So even as I danced, I bent and scooped the bills off the floor, tucking them into my palm in time with the music so the motion looked like part of the performance, and when I had gathered a handful, I glided across the room and tucked them by my jacket in the corner, where I would collect them before I left.
