Two Can Play (Celeste and Dominic) novel Chapter 482

The room was cold. Bitterly, bone-deep cold. And yet I was sweating, rivers of it running down my face and my back, soaking the sheets beneath me.

I tried to sit up, and my body simply refused. I tipped sideways and hit the floor hard, the impact jarring through my bones and rattling my teeth. Worse, every part of me that had been used screamed in protest. My pussy throbbed, raw and swollen and aching. My jaw hurt, my throat burned, and every muscle in my body felt like it had been beaten with a stick while I slept. I had never felt pain like this. Not once in my entire life.

I was so thirsty. My lips were cracked, my tongue heavy and dry against the roof of my mouth, my hands trembling so badly I could barely keep them under me. I decided I would feel better once I drank some water, so I began to crawl across the floor, one agonizing inch at a time, my knees scraping against the cold tiles.

Getting to the fridge took everything I had left. I clawed my way up the counter, dragged the door open, and grabbed the first bottle my fingers found. I drank, gulping it down like a woman dying of thirst, which I suppose I was.

It made everything worse.

The water had barely touched my stomach before my whole body began to convulse. My limbs jerked out of my control, my back arched, and I crashed to the ground, the bottle rolling away from me and spilling its contents across the floor. I lay there shaking, unable to stop it, terrified in a way I had never been terrified before. I was alone. Completely and utterly alone. If I died on this floor, no one would even know until Emerson came back, and by then I would be nothing but a memory, bones and silence in a house full of expensive things.

This could not be the aftermath of being fucked by one too many cocks. It could not.

I refused to give up. I forced myself upright again, ignoring the agony that ripped through every joint, and dragged myself to the mirror, one hand braced against the wall. And when I saw the woman staring back at me, I almost did not recognize her.

I was lying in my bed again, and a woman sat in the chair by my side, watching me with a calm, knowing expression, her hands folded in her lap. I tried to sit up immediately, and a sharp pain lanced through my back, dragging a wince out of me.

The woman laughed, light and easy, and rose to her feet. "Careful, careful. You already look like something the cat dragged in. There is no need to break your spine on top of everything else."

I stared at her, shock rippling through me, and then a memory surfaced. A hand pressing a small white pill into my palm. A voice whispering in my ear that the pill would make the experience very enjoyable. The woman in the blue straps at the hall. This woman. The same face, though she had changed into a decent black dress that covered her from shoulder to ankle.
