I sighed. “Whenever I want to trust Scarlett, she does something that makes me doubt her even more.”
Lucia nodded. “We can put it to a test and see. If Scarlett truly loves you and is willing to do anything for you like she claims, we’ll find out after putting it to the test.”
“I’m scared of the results,” I said. “If Scarlett is pretending to love me, I’ll fight for Sparrow with everything I have. But if Scarlett is genuinely honest and sincere toward me, and she has feelings for Sparrow, then I’ll have to sacrifice my feelings and give up on Sparrow so Scarlett can be happy.”
“What are you scared of then?” Lucia asked.
“I’m scared I wouldn't really be able to give up on Sparrow,” I said. “Being his fake wife for one year will make it so hard. I’ve already imagined how it would feel, giving up my virginity to him.”
Lucia gasped. “You’re still a virgin?”
“What do you have in mind?” I asked.
“Listen to me carefully,” Lucia spoke, lowering her voice. “Tonight, I’ll secretly take you to a club. We’re going to find a man who doesn’t give a fuck about who you are. We’ll get a room and well… that man is going to pop your cherry.”
