Tears rolled down my cheeks. "I understand. I'll be there."
The line went dead.
I sat there with the phone in my hand, tears still falling, racking my brain for a way out. Sparrow had told me not to worry about bringing breakfast to Scarlett, but I still had to be at the hospital. And with this bodyguard trailing me everywhere, how was I supposed to disappear for hours?
I thought and thought, until finally, an idea came to me.
Hiding the disgust I felt, I reminded myself of what I had already agreed to do. I would bear through this for two weeks, and then I would watch Big Bryan pay for everything he had done.
I washed up and applied makeup, doing my best to hide the dark circles under my eyes that gave away my sleepless night. When I came downstairs, I made a small breakfast for myself. I didn't want to go to the hospital hungry. If Scarlett figured out I hadn't eaten, she would only worry. I made breakfast for the bodyguard too.
He thanked me, and while I ate, he went to use the guest room to freshen up.
When he came back, I told him that before we went to the hospital, I wanted to do some shopping.
He nodded. "Whenever you're ready, we can leave."
I waited until eight, when I was sure the boutique would be open, and then we drove there in my car, him in the passenger seat.
At the boutique, I didn't just buy turtleneck tops. I secretly bought a stack of black wigs, long tight-fitting dresses, and shoes that would make me look completely different from my usual self. I paid for everything, made sure it was all well wrapped, and came out. We drove home, I left everything there, and finally we went to the hospital.

I hope Tasha is let off and helped by this detective and gets away from all this maybe a twist for this novel is she gets on the good side of things and gets away from that life completely even if she has to separate herself from Scarlett but it appears Tasha gets hurt by Scarlett’s and sparrow’s stupidity as she’s blamed for Scarlett’s decisions...
Her life is ruined and Scarlett’s been living a luxurious life through it all...
I officially hate everyone for hurting Tasha and allowing things to happen to her. This whole Sparrow and Scarlett situation is some BS....
It’s a bit stupid that as powerful and ruthless sparrow is he and Scarlett sure do a lousy job of protecting and having guard on Tasha. Like how did all of this happen to her if he was supposed to be protecting her based on the contract??...
