TASHA
At night, alone in the house, I couldn't get a peaceful minute of sleep.
Every time I closed my eyes and drifted off, the dream came back. I was walking into that room again, seeing Big Bryan smile at me, trying to run, feeling his hands on me, and then the men he brought in after. I woke up screaming every single time, drenched in sweat, my whole body shaking, and then I would break down and cry.
After I cried myself quiet, I would remind myself that in two weeks, Sparrow would take care of Big Bryan. That thought was the only thing that settled my sobs. But the moment I fell back asleep, the same nightmare started again, like the night was stuck in a loop.
I knew the bodyguard was in the living room. When he had driven me home, I thought he would spend the night outside, but he had said Sparrow thought the house was too big, and at least if he stayed in the living room, he could tell if something was wrong. So I tried my best not to make too much noise. But the nightmares kept coming, and I kept crying, until I heard someone pounding on my door.
Left with no choice, I washed my face, opened the door, and found the bodyguard standing there.
He studied me for a moment. "Are you okay? I heard screaming."
I nodded quickly. "I'm fine. I just had a nightmare. I'm just worried about Scarlett."
He nodded slowly, and then his eyes settled on the scars around my neck. "What happened to your neck?"
"I think I was fighting off an enemy in my sleep."
His brow furrowed. "No, I'm not talking about tonight. I saw this earlier in the day. I saw it this morning."
I touched my neck, my heart hammering. "Yes, I had the same nightmare the previous night. It was like a premonition, like I knew something bad was about to happen to Scarlett, and I was trying to fight off the person. That's how I ended up with these injuries."
He was still watching me, so I added, "Please don't mention it to Sparrow or Scarlett. Scarlett's blood pressure is high, and I don't want her to worry. I'll go shopping in the morning and get some turtleneck dresses to cover the scars. For now, I have to do everything possible to keep Scarlett happy. She loves me too much, and she'd only worry."

The readers' comments on the novel: Two Can Play (Celeste and Dominic)
Agent Frost better teach Tasha how to protect herself if anything gets out of hand or if she’s ever in danger or forced again...
I need some good news for Tasha. Special Agent hear her out and don’t let her get back into that life. Do I hear a romance or someone Tasha can truly count on besides Scarlett??...
I hope Tasha is let off and helped by this detective and gets away from all this maybe a twist for this novel is she gets on the good side of things and gets away from that life completely even if she has to separate herself from Scarlett but it appears Tasha gets hurt by Scarlett’s and sparrow’s stupidity as she’s blamed for Scarlett’s decisions...
Her life is ruined and Scarlett’s been living a luxurious life through it all...
I officially hate everyone for hurting Tasha and allowing things to happen to her. This whole Sparrow and Scarlett situation is some BS....
It’s a bit stupid that as powerful and ruthless sparrow is he and Scarlett sure do a lousy job of protecting and having guard on Tasha. Like how did all of this happen to her if he was supposed to be protecting her based on the contract??...
More Chapters Please...
I thought it said 10 chapters a day??? It’s been like 2-3 days and no update after chapter 574. The release time is so inconsistent, I have started to just loose interest....
Just find Tasha and get her some help. How did she have sparrow’s men watching her if she really cared so much. Scarlett’s character is so suspect…...
Storyline is interesting it’s just so much sexual content I have to skip through just find out the main context of the story....
