"You had a chemical dumped into your bloodstream and you ran here anyway. That was really brave. You're one of the bravest, strongest women I've ever met and I've met a lot of them with badges." His thumbs moved once more across my cheeks. "It's going to be fine. All of it."
The crying eased off into sniffles and then into nothing, and I wiped my nose with the back of my wrist and blew out a long breath.
"Thank you." I looked up at him. "For calling a doctor for me. For all of it. I won't forget that."
"I didn't do anything great." He shrugged it off. "We're in this together. Looking out for you is my job."
"How long was I out?"
He checked his watch. "Almost an hour."
An hour. My stomach lurched. I swung my legs off the bed and shoved myself upright so hard that the room tipped, and his hand snapped out and caught my waist.
"Careful. Maybe wait another ten minutes."
"There's no time." I steadied myself on his shoulder. "I have to get that chip into Big Bryan's phone. Today. It has to be today."
"You're sure?"
"Yes."
He crossed to the dresser, opened a drawer, and came back with a small bottle of something thick and off-white.
"Synthetic cum." He turned it so I could see the label. "It won't feel like the real thing, but it'll look like it."
I looked at the bottle and then at him. "I don't need it."
"You don't?"
"He doesn't check me like I thought he would." I pushed my hair back off my forehead. "He asks me back so he can mock me."
Daniel's mouth twisted, half embarrassment, half amusement. "
He laughed, short and surprised, and dropped the bottle back in the drawer, and it loosened something in my chest.
I decided to take a shower. If I didn't go back to Big Bryan looking like crap, this would be a good excuse.
The bathroom was all glass and marble and it took me ten minutes flat. I washed everywhere, scrubbed the dried sweat off my neck, came out in a towel and got back into the white dress and pinned the red wig into place in front of the mirror.
"I'm taking a cab," I said as I pulled the door open. "It's safer for both of us. If you want to see to it that I reach the club, follow the cab at a distance."

The readers' comments on the novel: Two Can Play (Celeste and Dominic)
Agent Frost better teach Tasha how to protect herself if anything gets out of hand or if she’s ever in danger or forced again...
I need some good news for Tasha. Special Agent hear her out and don’t let her get back into that life. Do I hear a romance or someone Tasha can truly count on besides Scarlett??...
I hope Tasha is let off and helped by this detective and gets away from all this maybe a twist for this novel is she gets on the good side of things and gets away from that life completely even if she has to separate herself from Scarlett but it appears Tasha gets hurt by Scarlett’s and sparrow’s stupidity as she’s blamed for Scarlett’s decisions...
Her life is ruined and Scarlett’s been living a luxurious life through it all...
I officially hate everyone for hurting Tasha and allowing things to happen to her. This whole Sparrow and Scarlett situation is some BS....
It’s a bit stupid that as powerful and ruthless sparrow is he and Scarlett sure do a lousy job of protecting and having guard on Tasha. Like how did all of this happen to her if he was supposed to be protecting her based on the contract??...
More Chapters Please...
I thought it said 10 chapters a day??? It’s been like 2-3 days and no update after chapter 574. The release time is so inconsistent, I have started to just loose interest....
Just find Tasha and get her some help. How did she have sparrow’s men watching her if she really cared so much. Scarlett’s character is so suspect…...
Storyline is interesting it’s just so much sexual content I have to skip through just find out the main context of the story....
