Unloved Unwanted Unstoppable (Seraphina and Dominic) novel Chapter 129

Gideon glanced over at her, a faint smile touching the corners of his lips.

He looked away, his tone remaining steady, though noticeably softer than before. "I'll have someone pick you up when you're free."

Seraphina nodded. "Alright."

The car gradually slowed down as it approached an older, run-down apartment complex, coming to a smooth stop.

Seraphina looked out the window. The worn-out residential buildings, the familiar alleyway entrance, the dim streetlights—it was her exact address.

She paused for a second.

He had only been here once to pick up his grandmother, yet he had remembered exactly where she lived.

She threw Gideon a brief look, then reached for the door handle.

"Hold on," Gideon's voice stopped her.

Seraphina paused and looked back.

Gideon pulled a long, black umbrella from the door's storage compartment. It was completely brand new, still in its wrapper. He offered it to her. "Take this. It's still raining."

Seraphina looked down at the umbrella, then reached out and took it. "Thank you, Mr. Cole."

She pushed the door open, popped the umbrella, and stepped out onto the wet pavement. Standing safely by the curb, she offered a polite nod toward the back seat.

Through the open window, Gideon's sharp profile was illuminated by the warm amber glow of the interior lights. He returned the nod.

The sleek vehicle seamlessly accelerated, pulling away from the curb. The red taillights blurred into the misty rain, turning the corner and vanishing into the night.

Seraphina stood on the sidewalk for several moments, gripping the sturdy new umbrella, staring at the empty street before finally turning toward her building.

She walked up the stairs, collapsed the umbrella, and propped it in the corner of her entryway. As she bent down to take off her shoes, she suddenly realized she was still wearing the charcoal gray jacket.

She had completely forgotten to return it before getting out of the car.

She blinked, pressing her lips together in mild frustration.

Myles pulled out the second folder and offered it.

Printed boldly across the cover were the words: *K Corporation Executive Briefing*.

"This email came in from the senior executives at K Corporation," Myles explained.

"They mentioned that several domestic companies have recently submitted partnership proposals. The applications from The Lockwood Group and Zenith Energy are the standout contenders. Both sides provided extremely detailed strategies."

"The executives are asking for your final say on how to proceed."

Gideon took the file and opened it, his eyes tracking line by line until he froze on a specific page.

The header displayed the Zenith Energy logo. The project tracking number, the core operational thesis—everything was laid out meticulously.

At the bottom of the page, the signature was handwritten. The strokes were clean, decisive, and elegant, ending with a sharp upward flick.

It was Seraphina's handwriting.
