Unloved Unwanted Unstoppable (Seraphina and Dominic) novel Chapter 291

They drove to the city plaza.

The fireworks hadn't officially started, but sporadic bursts of light already painted the night sky.

Lily dragged Phoebe by the hand the entire way, excitedly calling out her name non-stop.

Phoebe was a third grader this year, but in front of Lily, she acted like a full-grown adult.

Zachary followed behind the two little girls, clutching a few sparklers. He waved at Seraphina. "I'll take them to the open space over there to play. You stick with Mom and Dad."

Seraphina nodded, watching the adult and two kids squeeze into the crowd.

Clara walked ahead, arm in arm with Arthur. The couple strolled while peering at the nearby stalls, unknowingly turning into the adjacent night market street and vanishing into the bustling noise.

A smile touched Seraphina's lips. Her parents' relationship was as wonderful as ever.

For a moment, Gideon was the only one left beside her.

The first wave of fireworks suddenly exploded above the plaza, drawing a collective gasp from the crowd.

Seraphina tilted her head up, taking in the sky full of fireworks, her mood soaring.

Gideon turned his head to look at her.

The fireworks continued blooming one after another.

His lips moved slightly.

"Seraphina."

His voice brushed against the fading echo of the fireworks.

"...I like you."

The next second, a more violent explosion roared overhead. A string of golden sparks unfurled, illuminating the entire plaza for a brief moment.

Seraphina turned her head back, her face full of smiles. "What did you say? I didn't catch that."

Gideon lowered his eyes, the curve of his lips dropping slightly, before he calmly met her gaze. "I said, happy divorce," he replied evenly.

Seraphina's smile grew even brighter.

"Thank you."
