Although he lacked concrete proof, at this very moment, Dominic was almost certain that the person behind all of this was Seraphina.
She actually possessed this level of capability.
A glint of excitement that he didn't even realize he was showing flared in his eyes.
Almost instinctively, his hands moved to pull up the complete log of P's counterattack, replaying it frame by frame.
Her retaliation had been lightning-fast and terrifyingly precise. Every counter-move had perfectly anticipated his nodes.
He watched it again, unable to suppress the upward curve of his lips. An emotion he couldn't even name surged in his chest.
He found it impossible to convince himself that it wasn't her.
Because he could trace the exact curve of that sycamore leaf with his eyes closed.
He used to be annoyed when she doodled those leaves in her notebooks.
Yet now, he kept zooming in on that little insignia over and over again.
"Look into it."
After a long silence, he finally spoke. "Find out who the registered CEO of Orca is. Most importantly, check if there are any ties to Seraphina Sinclair. Be quick!"
His team immediately acknowledged the order, their fingers clattering rapidly across their keyboards.
Dominic still wore a faint smile. Not fully satisfied, he went back to re-watch P's counter-kill route, then pulled up today's trending news about Orca...
He simply couldn't get enough of it.
His phone rested on the coffee table, the screen constantly lighting up with incoming calls.
It buzzed repeatedly in the dark, the screen's glow flickering in the dimly lit room.
But Dominic kept his eyes glued to the computer monitor, never once turning his head to look at it.
At the same time, Cynthia sat in her car, glaring at her phone screen.
She dialed his number again, but it remained unanswered.
She gripped the phone tightly, a fiery rage burning in her chest.
Dominic hadn't shown up at the office today.
Desperate to find him, she had personally gone to Lockwood's headquarters, only to be told by the receptionist that Mr. Lockwood hadn't come in.
She then went to his private apartment, but the doorman said he hadn't seen him.
And she had been calling his phone all day, with zero response.
