Seraphina laughed out of sheer exasperation.
She looked at Cynthia, her eyes filled with undisguised mockery. "Cynthia, don't you feel disgusted with yourself when you say that?"
Cynthia paled. "You..."
"Shut up."
Seraphina's expression turned glacial as she coldly cut her off. "You relied on Felix to get into The Zane Group, you relied on Dominic to prop up Ross Healthcare, and you paved your way using other people's feelings and resources. Yet, at the end of the day, you have the nerve to say I'm the one stealing from you?"
Her tone grew even colder. "Did you forget that NovaPath Systems negotiated this project first? The only person trying to hijack it from the very beginning was you."
Felix's expression shifted, and he instinctively defended her. "Stop slandering her! Cynthia competed on her own merits."
Seraphina looked at him as if she had heard the most ridiculous joke, her gaze sweeping over him lightly. "Her so-called merits? Are you referring to Ross Healthcare's incredibly flawed proposal, or the speed at which she dodged Beatrice when she nearly fell in the parking lot earlier?"
Cynthia's pupils shrank in panic.
Felix froze as well, turning to look at her.
Cynthia immediately tried to explain. "I didn't... I just couldn't react in time, and I didn't know the elderly woman would..."
"Enough."
The manager walked out of the conference room, his face completely hardened.
He looked at Felix, his tone much firmer than before. "Felix, NovaPath Systems secured this contract because their proposal was superior, their quote was lower, and their risk management plan was more comprehensive. This is the final decision confirmed by both our project team and the legal department."
Felix's face stiffened.
The manager then turned to Cynthia, his tone strictly professional. "As for Ross Healthcare's proposal, our team has already evaluated it. Whether it's the stability of the materials or the capacity for subsequent supply, it falls completely short of our current partnership requirements."
As his words echoed in the air, the entire hallway fell into a dead silence.
Seraphina didn't spare them another glance, turning to leave.
As they brushed past each other, Cynthia glared at her, her eyes brimming with toxic resentment.
Seraphina paused slightly, glancing sideways at her.
