"You know exactly what I said."
"Some people slip drugs to Dominic Lockwood one minute, and get tangled up with another man the next. You're quite generous, aren't you? Not only do you not mind, but you're also eager to defend her."
"What, you're so thrilled to be her rebound that you actually think you're a hero?"
Felix's face instantly twisted in anger.
He instinctively looked down at his own collar.
Cynthia's heart skipped a beat.
She never expected Seraphina to say something like this in public.
Seeing Felix's reaction, she completely panicked.
"Seraphina, how could you slander me like this?"
Cynthia hurried over, her eyes turning red on command.
"I know you've never liked me, and I know you hold a grudge against me. But what did I ever do to deserve such relentless persecution?"
Her voice choked with emotion, as if she had suffered the greatest injustice in the world.
"You used to steal what was mine, and when you couldn't, you resorted to those underhanded tricks. You've already ruined me. Won't you let me go now?"
"Seraphina, we are both women. Why must you make things so difficult for someone of your own gender?"
By the end of her speech, tears were rolling down her cheeks.
A few passersby heard the commotion and stopped in their tracks.
Seraphina watched, absolutely astounded.
Unbelievable.
Her ability to completely twist the truth was truly effortless.
Cynthia was clearly the one who repeatedly tried to steal her things and frame her with vicious schemes, yet now she twisted the narrative to make herself the victim.
She even dragged the concept of female solidarity into it.
Seraphina was utterly speechless.
Sure enough, being a manipulative little snake required natural talent.
