Gideon looked down at the burlap sack in her hand, then at the wooden bat. He raised an eyebrow, a flash of surprise crossing his eyes before melting into sheer indulgence.
"I'd love to."
Seraphina's eyes crinkled with a bright smile.
"Then it's a date!"
...
Later that night, the wind howled through the pitch-black streets.
On a secluded road near the Zane estate, Felix was walking with his head down.
He was still fuming over the humiliation from earlier that day.
So what if he had tied Seraphina up?
He didn't actually take her kidney, did he? Was there really a need to make such a massive scene out of it?
Besides, he had already bowed and apologized, yet Seraphina still acted so high and mighty. Who did she think she was?
The more Felix thought about it, the angrier he got. Just as he was about to pull out his phone, a pitch-black shadow suddenly descended over his head.
"Who's there?!"
Felix screamed in terror, but in the next second, he was violently shoved to the ground.
Immediately after, a heavy wooden bat cracked mercilessly against his body.
"Ahhh!"
A blood-curdling scream pierced the night.
"Who is it! Which bastard dares to hit me! Do you know I'm from the Zane family!"
His answer was another vicious strike.
Felix rolled on the ground in agony, trying to scramble up, but he quickly realized his escape route was blocked by a towering figure. No matter how much he thrashed, he couldn't break free.
Gripping the bat, Seraphina deliberately aimed for the fleshiest parts of his body, beating him until he howled like a wounded dog.
Remembering how close she had come to having her kidney forcibly ripped out, she swung even harder.
Didn't Felix think losing a kidney was no big deal?
Well, tonight she was going to let him experience exactly what it felt like to be completely overpowered and forced to endure something against his will!
She didn't stop until Felix was in so much pain he didn't even have the energy left to beg for mercy.
Seraphina let out a long breath.
That felt amazing!
Gideon stepped forward, smoothly taking the bat from her hands while using his other hand to gently massage her wrist.
The two exchanged a knowing smile and turned to leave.
Felix was left lying in the dirt, trapped inside the burlap sack, groaning miserably in pain.
