Vengeful Billionaire and His Lovers (Jerome Howard) novel Chapter 12

Luciana’s eyes widened. She was so angry that her whole body trembled. Pointing at Henry, she said, “Fine! Since you said this, I’ll make sure it happens today!”

“You’re ridiculous!” Henry snapped. “Are you out of your mind?”

Luciana stared back at him stubbornly. “I want you to promise me. Otherwise, I won’t agree to her staying here with you!”

Henry could feel a headache starting. Frustrated, he rubbed his temples and said, “Fine! Fine! Before our divorce, I won’t cheat on you. Now, get lost.”

He actually asked me to get lost?

Luciana unhappily pursed her lips and said, “Seriously, your attitude is getting from bad to worse. Forget it, seeing that you’re injured, I won’t hold it against you. Remember your promise. I don’t want to be cheated on. You don’t have to worry, I won’t fall for anyone else. I only love you. Don’t believe all those rumors. I’m going now. Once I finish with this project, I’ll take some time off to take care of you at home.”

With that, Luciana turned and walked out of the room, her high heels clicking on the floor.

Henry watched her sexy figure leave and sighed.

Henry couldn’t tell which part of Luciana’s words was true anymore.

Outside the room, Luciana swept her gaze past Rosalie and lifted her chin proudly before leaving.

As soon as she turned the corner, a small smile appeared on her face.

Henry valued promises the most. If he promised something, he would definitely keep his word. Luciana had tested him and was assured that his feelings to Rosalie were nothing more than familial ties.

This put her at ease. Rosalie… Rosalie … there’s no way you can compete with me!

Luciana pulled out her phone and made a call, “Hello? Which room are you in?”

A few moments later, she had gone to a lower floor to meet Ethan.

“What happened just now? Libby said she didn’t really see what happened. Did Henry hit me again?”

Ethan had regained consciousness. His expression was as dark as a storm cloud.

He’d somehow passed out and hadn’t even seen it coming. It was humiliating, and he was even starting to suspect that someone had used a tranquilizer gun on him.

Luciana just said calmly, “Who knows? I didn’t see what happened either.”

“Damn it!” Ethan pounded his fist on the bed frame with a loud thud. “It must have something to do with that loser. Looks like he didn’t learn his lesson … ”

“What did you say?”

Luciana’s voice turned icy, her eyes narrowing with a dangerous aura. “I told you. There’s no next time. Don’t cross the line. If my husband gets injured again, you will pay.”

Faced with Luciana’s threat, Ethan’s eyes flashed with anger before he revealed a bright smile.

“Luciana, come on! I was just kidding. I just said that in a fit of anger. Don’t worry. I won’t do anything you don’t want me to do”

Luciana stared at Ethan for a moment before her expression softened. “You’d better keep your word.”

Henry answered, “I’m not doing the surgery.”

With Kylah’s assurance, Henry would definitely not go through with an amputation. Although he didn’t know how Kylah would help him, since she said it was possible, Henry trusted her.

He had high hopes for this mysterious orphanage director.

Since Henry had decided, the doctor did not pressure him any further. “Alright, if you’ve decided not to do the surgery, we can remove the IV this afternoon, and you can go home. Just remember to come back for your follow-up appointment.”

The doctor informed Henry of a few other things he should take note of before he left the room.

Henry thought, I can finally be discharged! I need to start my plan.

His eyes flashed with determination.

Ethan, just you wait. I’m coming for you!

At noon, someone he didn’t expect showed up at the hospital.

“Mr. Zeigler…”

Selena stumbled into the room, sobbing as she spoke. She was about to throw herself into Henry’s arms when Rosalie stopped her.

“She’s a friend,” Henry said.
