Chapter 19 Temptation and Trouble 

“Hehe!” 

Luciana giggled. She quickly ran to his side, blowing in his ear. She said sweetly, “Hubby, let’s sleep together tonight.” 

Henry got goosebumps and could barely handle it anymore. This tempting woman was both lovable and infuriating. 

Luciana glanced down from the corner of her eye. She became even more pleased. She immediately wanted to test whether this ten-thousand-dollar wheelchair was really sturdy enough. 

But then she saw the third wheel beside them eating alone. She felt extremely frustrated. This Rosalie is so in the way! 

Henry tried to ignore the heat he felt and ate with his head down. Having Rosalie around is too inconvenient… 

Luciana felt somewhat frustrated and brought up business matters. 

“By the way, about that project we discussed last time, did you contact Selena? What did she say?” 

Henry said calmly, “Just forget about that. I don’t have that much influence. I suggest you withdraw your investment.” 

Luciana frowned. Her husband wouldn’t help. She felt resentful. “This money is all I have. It’s basically guaranteed profit. If things go smoothly, I could make a hundred million dollars! If you’re willing to help me convince Selena, I could make even more!” 

“Anyway, I’ve said my piece. I have a feeling that Ethan’s construction company will have major problems. You’ll lose everything when that happens.” 

Henry tried to persuade her again. If his wife insisted on going through with it, the money would definitely go down the drain. 

Luciana served Henry another plate of pasta. She didn’t take his words seriously. She didn’t think her husband had any business sense. She felt he was being too emotional. 

She said, “Setting aside character issues, objectively speaking, Ethan is quite capable. Before starting his own business, he worked at Sunforge Architects for two years. His performance was outstanding. For his first project now, Sunforge Architects will definitely provide backing and support. Don’t worry, it’s a guaranteed investment. I’ll buy you a million-dollar watch when the time comes.” 

Hearing this, Henry said nothing more. His wife didn’t believe him. So there was no point in saying anything else. 

That evening, Henry sat in his wheelchair in the bathroom, taking a shower. 

The warm water streaming down made Henry feel comfortable all over. 

Suddenly, the bathroom door handle suddenly moved. Then a curvaceous figure quietly walked in. 

“What are you doing in here?” Henry said calmly. 

“Helping you wash your back!” Luciana smiled gently and walked behind him. 

The next day, Henry woke up in the guest bedroom.

His wife pushed open the door. She was wearing a black fitted dress and carrying a cream-colored purse. She had light makeup on and seemed to be in good spirits. She said cheerfully, “Hubby, I’m heading to the company! No need to get up yet.” 

Henry grunted with an indifferent expression. 

After saying this, he coolly leaned over. He sank a ball in one shot. 

He followed with several more shots and cleared the table completely. He definitely had real skills. 

The girl’s pretty face flushed with excitement. She jumped and clapped, “So cool! Danny, you’re amazing!” 

“Are you kidding? Do you know who Danny is?” 

“Best billiard player in Skysouth, no joke.” 

There were five to six young men nearby loudly chimed in agreement. 

Danny smiled faintly while the girl stood beside him, soaking up all the praise. 

This feeling of being the center of attention made her extremely satisfied. 

Then Danny raised both hands and pressed them down. After the scene quieted down, he said with a smile, “Alright, alright! No more billiards. We’ll hit the esports café later, then karaoke tonight.” 

After he finished speaking, everyone immediately erupted in cheers. 

The girl hesitated slightly, “Going to the esports café is fine, but tonight…” 

Danny’s eyes flashed as he shot a look at his friends. Then he put both hands on the girl’s shoulders. “Anna! I just want to make you happy. Tonight, there are some big shots coming. I’ll introduce you to them. When you go out to have fun in the future, you’ll all be friends. I’m doing this for your own good.”
