Wren nodded repeatedly. "That goes without saying, Robert."
With that, he went on to play the role of a good-natured mediator. Walking up to Felix, he said, "Felix, you don't have to wear this mask if you don't want to."
Wren forgave Felix on Jonathan's behalf without even asking what exactly happened on that day.
Jonathan, understanding what kind of person his grandfather was, did not get angry.
At Wren's words, Felix immediately ripped off the ugly pig mask. He had wanted a monkey mask, not a pig mask.
Robert pretended to glare at him. "Felix, aren't you going to thank Wren?"
"Thank you, Granduncle Wren," Felix said.
"It's nothing; you're welcome." Wren laughed heartily.
Robert, seeing the situation was now relaxed and harmonious, finally brought up the real purpose of his visit.
"Nathaniel, since we're family, I won't beat around the bush. I heard that Imminence Corporation has an overseas project that needs a business partner. What do you think about our company?" Robert asked.
Nathaniel knew Robert had come here with an agenda.
"Our company's business partners are all selected by the external affairs department. If your company wishes to seek cooperation, I can mention it to them and have them make an assessment," he said, his attitude strictly businesslike.
It was clear from this tone that Robert could not get his wish granted.
Robert himself knew that his company could never land the project unless he pulled strings.
"Nathaniel, you're making us sound like strangers. I am your uncle. Do you think I'd make you suffer a loss?" Robert said.
Nathaniel's expression did not change. Parting his thin lips, he replied, "If you can indeed bring profit to the project, then your company should certainly be able to pass our company's business partner selection process."
Robert was at a loss for words for a moment.
Seeing that Nathaniel refused to budge, he turned his gaze to Wren. "Wren, what do you think about a partnership between our two families?"

"Wren, you are truly blessed to have four grandchildren at once, and they're all so smart and adorable," Robert praised.
"It's the same for you, Robert. Felix is also very clever," Wren replied.
The two men showered each other with praises in the living room.
Elena was in the study talking with Nicholas. When she came out after the conversation ended, she saw that Robert had come over.

Nicholas also walked out of the study. "Mom, I'm leaving now."
"Nicholas, you really must not dwell on the past. I treat you and Nathaniel equally," Elena said.
Nicholas did not respond, striding off instead.
