Arnold looked at Miranda and hesitated.
"What? Wasn't I clear enough? Or are you saying you don't want to listen to me?"
Miranda's face turned cold.
Arnold hurriedly shook his head. "I'll go right now."
Once he was out, Miranda finally sat down and opened the computer.
She went through the files on the computer one by one.
Anything that looked useful, she copied first.
When she was done, she quickly deleted the record.
Miranda checked everything on the computer she could get into.
After that, she moved on to the company's various dossiers.
She could hardly wait to get out of the Rainsworth family, that cage of a place.
As long as she could get everything under her control, she would never have to stay with a useless piece of trash like Adrian again.
Arnold stayed outside, with no way to see what she was doing inside.
The longer it went on, the less it sat right with him, and in the end he still reported everything that had happened here to Robert.
After hearing it, Robert also felt that something was off.
"Keep an eye on her without letting her notice. If anything happens, tell me right away."
Robert said it into the telephone.
"Yes," Arnold said with a nod.
After hanging up, Robert called his son, Adrian.
At that moment, Adrian was lying around at the house, playing on his phone.
The second he saw it was his father's call, he hurriedly pushed himself upright.
"Dad, do you need something?"
"Can't I call you if there's nothing wrong? What are you doing right now?"
"What else would I be doing? I'm just resting at home," Adrian said.
Robert listened, and the look on his face turned harder.
The more he heard from that son of his, the less he could stand it.
"You little bastard. Get to the company right now and do your job."
"What?" Adrian clearly didn't want to move. "Isn't Miranda already there? Whether I go or not, what difference does it make?"
That only made Robert sound worse. "You useless thing. You think you can trust a woman? You're my son. You're the one who's supposed to take over for me in the future. Do you understand that or not?"
