Nadine was so focused on her studies that she hadn't even noticed Brad was awake. She only realized that someone was staring at her when she flipped the page.

When she finally looked up, she found Brad's beautiful eyes staring at her. She had no idea how long he had been watching her. Realizing he was awake, she quickly hit the call button to alert the doctor.

Brad wasn't ready for this peaceful moment to end just yet. With a gentle tug, he inadvertently caused Nadine to lose her balance and fall onto his chest. Their faces ended up so close that she could see every detail of his features.

"Brad Hamilton, are you out of your mind? The doctor said we need to call him as soon as you wake up!"

When she got up to call for the doctor, Brad mischievously pulled her back. She wouldn't have come so close to him otherwise, especially given how things were between them now. Such proximity felt inappropriate.
