Adam was upset with Brad. After all this time, he still hadn't been able to win Nadine back. If he wasn't so frustrated with that foolish brat, Adam would've taken him by the hand and shown him how to win Nadine's heart.

Travis nodded before asking, "Mr. Hamilton Senior, Mrs. Hamilton has always spent New Year's at Hamilton Estate. Given how things are between her and Mr. Brad, do you think she'll still come to the estate this year?"

After giving it some thought, Adam sighed. "I suppose I'll have to talk to Nadine. I'll ask her to do me a favor and join us for dinner at home. As long as I take her home right after, I don't think she'll mind."

Just then, Nadine pushed the door open and walked in. She happened to overhear the tail-end of their conversation.

As soon as Adam saw her, his eyes lit up. "You're just in time, Nad! I was hoping you'd join our family dinner. What do you say? If you don't want to see that rascal, I won't let him attend. How does that sound?"

He was treating her with the utmost respect. How could she turn him down? After helping Travis pack things up, Nadine left with Adam to pick Sean up, and together they headed back to Hamilton Estate.

Even though all the housekeepers at Hamilton Estate were aware that she was in the middle of a messy divorce with Brad, no one dared to slight her in Adam's presence—though they were eager to see the drama unfold.

With Adam by her side, Nadine was treated like an honored guest. She didn't have to lift a finger and only needed to chat with him. Meanwhile, Sean buzzed around the two of them.

Knowing how much Nadine despised Brad, Adam didn't bring him up at all. Instead, he kept their conversation on Sophie's funeral. He even asked where Sophie was buried, and she answered all of his questions.
