Heather’s head jerked up, and her eyes fixed firmly on Sophia.

Jonathan’s heart skipped a beat; he thought, ‘nothing good ever happened whenever I saw Sophia. He quickly snapped at Sophia. A will? Can you stop coming up with these crazy ideas?”

Sophia rolled her eyes disdainfully and said, “Why are you being so loud? Guilty conscience much?” Then Sophia turned to Heather and asked, Heathe did Jonathan promise you something last night? Like not leaving Wilbur a single penny of the Chandler family’s money?”

Heather instantly fell silent.

Jonathan was also speechless.

Seeing their reactions, Sophia knew she was right. Sophia scoffed, “Heather, never trust a man’s word, especially a cheating one. His promises are just hot air. If he truly doesn’t intend to leave Wilbur a cent, then why won’t he just make a will?”

Sophia snapped, “Don’t feel sorry for him! If you’re always caring for him, who cares for you? His sweet talk is just empty promises. If he can’t make a will, how can you trust him? Believe me, you’ll regret it if you trust him.”

Heather’s face darkened, her expression turning grim.

Jonathan’s face flushed crimson as he glared daggers at Sophia. “School’s about to start; don’t you have your own life? Why are you always hanging around the hospital?” Jonathan snarled.

Sophia blinked and teased, “Heather, look! He’s getting mad.”

Heather turned to look, and Jonathan blurted out urgently, “Heather, don’t listen to her. I swear I didn’t do anything.”

Sophia shot back, “If you didn’t do anything, why are you yelling at me? I’m Heather’s good girl, her sweet baby, her caring angel, and her devoted supporter. I’m always there for her. I do everything for her sake.”

Sophia sneered, “Unlike you, a turncoat who betrayed your family, your wife, and your own children. You’re nothing but a disloyal, dishonorable traitor.”

Jonathan’s blood pressure spiked again.

Sophia watched as the corner of Jonathan’s eye twitched and reported righteously, “Heather, guess what? Yesterday, when you fainted, Jonathan actually told Wilbur to pick you up; he did it on purpose, just to make you uncomfortable. Luckily, I stopped him.”

Sure enough, Heather glared daggers at Jonathan.

Jonathan fell silent.

Sophia added one final provocative remark, “Jonathan, Wilbur now handles Chandler Group’s confidential information as Sean’s assistant; If you passed out like yesterday, would you trust him not to compete with Sean for revenge over what you did to his mother?”

Confronted by Sophia’s accusation, Jonathan defended himself anxiously. “That’s not true. I didn’t do anything, and Wilbur would never do such a thing.”

Sophia scoffed, “See? You’ve only known him for what, a few days? And you’re already trusting him like this. Who’s to say you won’t hand over the Chandler Group to him out of guilt?”

“Fine. I’ll make the damn will, alright?” Jonathan said.

Cornered by Sophia’s relentless pressure, Jonathan finally caved.

Sophia demanded, “Not only do you need to make a will, but Wilbur must leave Chandler Group too.”

Jonathan finally snapped, “Don’t push your luck.”

Sophia looked at Heather and said, “Heather, seriously, all this is for you.”

Heather, her eyes brimming with emotion, looked at Sophia resolutely and said, “Sophia speaks for me. If you make the will, expel Wilbur from Channa Group, and stay away from its affairs, I can ignore Wilbur’s activities.”

Jonathan shot Sophia a venomous glare, but under the mounting pressure, he finally gave in with a reluctant nod.

At Chandler Group, Wilbur was sorting meeting documents when his phone buzzed. The moment he saw the message, his hands stilled.

Sophia immediately sent another message. It read: [Jonathan’s sucking up to Heather; not only did he make a will cutting you out completely, but he’s also kicking you out of Chandler Group. Poor Wilbur, no hope for revenge now. My condolences for three seconds.]

Wilbur ignored the mocking nickname. Just reading those messages, Wilbur could vividly picture Sophia’s gloating smirk, his temples throbbing with anger. Wilbur shoved his phone into the drawer and thought, ‘Out of sight, out of mind.’

Five minutes later, Wilbur indeed received a message from Jonathan ordering him to leave Chandler Group voluntarily. Overwhelmed with anger, Wilbur’s hands trembled as he clenched the phone, teeth gritted and jaw taut, his lowered eyes concealing his true emotions..

Wilbur’s phone buzzed again, this time with a message from Sophia. [Mad yet?]

Wilbur was speechless and thought, ‘Sophia is insane. She really is crazy.‘ Wilbur was not even sure if he should trust Sophia, but he pressed ‘1‘ anyway. For some reason, as he did, Wilbur suddenly felt a sense of relief.

Moments later, Sophia’s reply popped up with a café address.

As Wilbur saw the address, his face turned deathly pale, his eyes blazing with a fury he’d never known. Wilbur texted back. [What the hell are you trying to pull?]

Even through the screen, Sophia could sense Wilbur’s fury. A smirk played on her lips as she typed. [Mad already, or can’t bear to leave Chandler Group?]

[Aww, Wilbur, they don’t want you anymore, yet you’re still clinging on. How pathetic can you be?] [I’ll be waiting for you at that café. Heard the owner’s real beauty, and her coffee’s to die for. Can’t wait to see for myself.]

Wilbur clenched his phone so tightly his knuckles turned white and thought, ‘That lunatic. Absolute madwoman.‘

As a coworker walked by and noticed Wilbur’s grim expression, he asked casually, “Hey Wilbur, you alright?”
