Zoe was startled. When she met Sophia’s piercing gaze, she shivered violently, and her face turned pale.
She didn’t even dare to look Sophia in the eye. Trembling, she said, “It didn’t say that. That’s just what the post said. It’s got nothing to do with may
Sophia took out a tissue and gently wiped the stains from her lips, then bent down to meet her eyes.
In an eerily gentle voice, she said, “Don’t be afraid. Everything they said in the post is true. I am crazy, and when I lose it, I can be very brutal. As for whether I hit people? Well, that depends on who’s messing with me.”
Zoe froze, and her face turned into a mask of sheer terror.
Sophia gently wiped her mouth clean, patted her cheek, and smiled, saying, “Enjoy your meal. The food tastes pretty good.”
Zoe gave an automatic nod, though her back was drenched in cold sweat from fear.
Looking at Sophia’s face up close, especially that smile, it felt like getting looked a little stunning.

Sophia’s smile grew wider as she turned and sat back in her seat.
Zoe stared blankly at Sophia’s back, her mind replaying how Sophia had just wiped her mouth. Strangely, her fear melted into shyness, and she blushed instantly.
“Zoe, your face is all red. Did Sophia just-” her roommate blurted out.
The girl who had been scared out of her mind, barely even dared to breathe while Sophia was there finally relaxed. She turned and saw Zoe staring off into space, blushing.
Zoe snapped out of her daze. “Sophia said the food is pretty good.” She took a bite of her food and nodded with exaggerated seriousness. “It’s really
delicious.”
She took another big bite as she spoke. Her roommate stared in silence, unsure what was going on.
After breakfast, Sophia strolled back to the dorm with her hands tucked in her pockets.
Nadia said hesitantly, “Sophia, should we report that post to the school administration and have them remove it?”
“No need.” Sophia replied calmly, “Let it be.”
She never liked being disturbed–whether out of kindness or malice, she wanted none of it. However, she wasn’t the type to sit back and let someone come looking for trouble.
Nadia wasn’t sure what Sophia was thinking. After a brief hesitation, she asked cautiously, “Do you know who posted it?”
At first, she thought it might be Vivienne, but after checking the content herself, she found the post was so detailed. It read like an eyewitness account.
Vivienne had only known Sophia for a day. There was no way she could know that much.
Sophia looked at the building ahead. “I do. I’ve got something to take care of. You may have to go back alone.”
Nadia wasn’t the least bit surprised that Sophia knew. Instead, this was exactly what she had expected. Seeing Sophia had something to deal with, she nodded and left.
After a while, Sophia got a call from Elle. “Sophia, are you sure you won’t participate in this? Honestly, no one is more suitable than you.”
Elle was once again trying to persuade Sophia to speak as the freshman representative at the orientation party. Sophia had refused once, but Elle just

wouldn’t take no for an answer.
Before Elle could say anything else, Sophia cut her off, keeping a straight face.”
“Sorry, I have social anxiety. I don’t like speaking in public.
“If I’m around too many people, I’ll get dizzy, short of breath, weak all over, and turn pale. In the worst case, my heart might just stop
Elle broke into a sweat. “I’m sorry to hear that. Alright, forget about it. Take some rest.”
After hanging up, Sophia adjusted her sun hat and facial mask and continued on her way.
She checked the route. It would take eighteen stops on the subway from Jelasburg University to the area near the Chandler residence.
Sophia had never taken the subway before. Following the signs, she bought a ticket, went through the gate, and got on the subway. Since it was the starting station, she easily found herself a seat.
Just then, Sophia’s phone buzzed in her bag. It was a call from Harveston. She raised an eyebrow and picked it up.
Yandel said, “Sophia, it’s Yandel.”
Sophia smiled and said, “Well, I’m surprised. Mr. Dalton, are you ready to return the favor?”
After a brief silence, Yandel said, “Mrs. Stanton is in hospital. I’m busy and can’t go to visit her right now, but I’ll come as soon as I can. Could you please go check on her?”
Hearing the pleading tone on the phone, Sophia was distracted. She remembered in a few of the previous cycles, Mira had passed away before Yandel even had the chance to visit her.
There was still almost a whole year left before Mira’s death.
Sophia couldn’t help but feel that Yandel was totally useless. He had been back for a whole year and still hadn’t gotten things done.
“Why would I help you?” she asked.
Hearing her start bargaining, Yandel let out a sigh of relief. “What do you want?”
Sophia didn’t answer him directly. Instead, she flashed a playful smile and
said, “Ad

Yandel was confused but went along with it anyway. When he saw her username, he understood everything. He thought, ‘She might as well have written “pay me now” in all caps.‘
Almost immediately, Sophia sent him a picture. It was her bank account details.
Yandel fell silent, then, with a resigned sigh, instructed his butler to wire Sophia 300 thousand dollars.
Sophia sent Yandel a smile emoji.
Yandel thought texting was too slow, so he just called her. “Let me know when you’re heading to the hospital to see Mrs. Stanton. Don’t forget to send me her picture. I need to know she’s fine.”
Sophia said, “I didn’t expect you to care so much about Mrs. Stanton.”
Yandel fell silent.
