Chapter 171
Sophia clenched her fists, her eyes still red and puffy from crying, looking ready to fight the Moores by herself. Heather was really moved by her strong attitude.
Sophia said, “Relax, Jonathan isn’t that easy to die. But him throwing up blood randomly and passing out is really worrying.
“Let’s be honest, it’s time to make a will–this is urgent. Heather, you better handle this properly.
“What if Jonathan really dies? Wouldn’t that just give someone else an easy chance?”
Heather thought Sophia’s words were harsh and unpleasant. Her face darkened, but she knew Sophia was right and couldn’t argue.
“There’s no rush,” Heather said. “Let’s wait until your father wakes up.”
Sophia said, “Exactly. If he never wakes up, all this talk is pointless.”
Heather felt her chest tighten. Just then, Sophia’s phone buzzed a few times–Dorian and Maelis were messaging her, asking what happened and if she needed help at the hospital, clearly eager to get involved.
Sophia knew they just wanted to be part of the drama. ‘If they want to come, let them, she thought, then texted Wilbur.
Sophia: [Jonathan got so mad he passed out and is in the hospital. Want to come show some family love and help us plan our revenge?]
Wilbur read the message, turned off his phone, and ignored it.
Sophia tutted and saw Heather frowning and glaring at her disapprovingly. “Sophia, your father is like this, and you’re still glued to your phone?” Heather scolded.
Sophia instantly looked sad and said, “Should I start crying like a mourner?”
Heather took a deep breath, too angry to speak, her lips trembling. Soon, Jonathan was pushed out of the exam room and into the ward. But he looked really bad–his face was pale, his brows furrowed tight, and his forehead was sweaty.
Heather felt heartbroken seeing him like this. She quickly asked the doctor, “What happened to him?”
Sophia rolled her eyes and scoffed, “Nightmares? He must have done a lot of shady stuff.”
Heather choked on her words, glaring hard at Sophia.
Sophia said, “You’re so loud–no wonder Jonathan would rather stay out than come home. Seriously, you need to fix that nasty habit of yours.”
Heather was angry, realizing every word Sophia said that day felt like salt in a wound.
Sophia had really changed. Heather looked at Jonathan, his eyes shut tight and his face twisted in pain. “Darling, please wake up,” she begged.
Sophia stood over the hospital bed, looking down at Jonathan with cold, icy eyes. Her eyes were cold and emotionless, but a faint flicker of something
unreadable showed.
Hearing Heather’s words, Sophia scoffed. “Clearly he’s haunted by nightmares. Doctors can fix his body, but they can’t get rid of the demons in his
mind.”
She said mockingly, “Looks like we should call an exorcist to chase out the evil spirits.”
As her words got more and more outrageous, Heather’s face darkened a lot. “Sophia, how can you say that about your own dad?”
Sophia looked at her sharply. “So what ify say that? He’s trash anyway!”

Chapter 171
Heather trembled with anger, Sophia kept going mercilessly, “Heather, Jonathan didn’t just cheat on you–he s still crazy about his hisă le with you over his illegitimate kid, and now he won’t even come home.
“After everything he’s done, you still love him so much! The moment I say a bad word about him, you jump on me, Seriously, what do you tes in th guy?”
Heather was speechless. Seeing how frustrated and disappointed Sophia looked, her anger faded. She let out a tired sigh and said softly, No matter what, he’s stil! your dad.”
Sophia scoffed. “I can’t wake someone who wants to stay blind, Heather. Do what you want–I’m done helping you now.”
Suddenly, Heather got scared. “Sophia,” she called, her voice trembling.
“You’re so annoying,” Sophia snapped.
Sophia stormed out of the ward, looking irritated. Heather looked at Jonathan and then hurried to follow. “Sophia, wait!” she called.
Outside the ward, Sophia crossed her arms, tilted her chin up, and gave Heather a cold, indifferent look. “Heather,” she said coldly, “do you know what Jonathan told me in the car that day he took me to sign up for college?”
Heather’s heart felt tight, and she suddenly felt a wave of panic. She remembered that morning very clearly–it was the moment Jonathan changed, and so did Sophia.
Her face went pale as she asked nervously, “What did he say to you?”
Sophia smirked and called her closer. When Heather came over, Sophia leaned in and whispered, “Jonathan wants me to find out where Mireille is.”
Heather froze, her face losing all color as if struck by lightning. Sophia’sneered, “What was Jonathan thinking? Why would he think I’d know where Mireille is?”
Heather’s heart immediately sank. “You told him?” she asked.
Sophia shook her head. “If I told him, he’d bring her out right away.”
Heather’s face twisted between laughter and tears as they ran down her cheeks. Sophia sighed and said, “That’s why I mentioned the will. With a kid out of wedlock and his first love, Heather, what do you have besides five kids?”
